<div class="IPBDescription">Movies your looking forward to</div> This summer is going to rock with movies, it already has blasted right into it with "The Matrix Reloaded" and "X-Men 2." T3 looks alright but it might be a little dissapointing. The movie I'm looking forward to the most is "Freddy vs Jason", yea laugh at me all you want but these are the baddest mother f'ers out there and just watching them in the same movie leaves me in ahh.

    Terminator 3.

Jason vs. Freddy's going to be worse than Jason X. Low budget like a mother... The Nightmare on Elm Street series was pretty bad, good idea, bad exicution. But who knows? It could be... ok, but nothing more.

T3 seems good. I don't think it will be disappointing. It will probably be the same mind-twisting time travel theme as always. "Can we change the future, or are we destined to be overruled by the machines?" Sounds a bit like the Matrix theme actually. But since I've already seen Matrix Reloaded (hence can't look forward to it), I choose T3.

Sorry but 90% of all summer 'box office hits' turn out to be loads of crap, but because of the fact that their supported so widely by sponsors, they're hyped to oblivion and make us believe their good.

    *Edit*

On the other hand there is the handful of good movies released during summer...

Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King, need I say more? <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

I actually find myself lookign forward to the Hulk more and more. I've been reading some magazines, and Ang Lee seems to have really taken the opportunity to do some cool things with the movie. For example, one article mentioned him juxtaposing several teams, arranging them all in blocks so that the screen almost looks like a live-action comic-book. The script for the movie apparently isnt half that bad, either, so I'm expecting it to be pretty darn cool.

    anyways: LOTR3, Matrix3
  • roachemsroachems Join Date: 2003-04-02 Member: 15148Members
Matrix Revolution comes out in November
    LOTR3 comes out in December

so those aren't really summer flics,

but T3, and Tomb Raider 2, Angelina Jolie refused to do it unless they made the plot better.
so its going to be a actual movie this time.

hulk should be good due to Eric Bana he is a superb actor...

t3 i dont reaslly care about...

dumb and dumberer looks naff.. i mean it needs jim carrey and the other guy (forgot his name) in it .. it just isnt the same without them,...

28 days later... i dont really think this will build up to much.. mainly from the trailer... they showed it all in london... but the london bit only goes on for like 15v mins... so it makes me wonder what are they afraid to show..?

LXG... my friends were taking the right royal pi$$ out of this in the cinema.. i thin it looks quite impressive....

S.W.A.T - looks quite nice and it had 2 GREAT stars (Colin Farrell & Samuel L Jackson)

another one i am looking forward to is...

Pirates of the carribean the hunt for black pearl..

i saw the trailer for this it has orlando bloom in (legolas & Pvt. blackburn)

and it will rate badly with the critics... but imho defo worth seeing...

    *****Summer LETDOWN******

Too fast and too furious... this film is utter tosh...

with no Diesel in the tank (notice my witty pun about vin diesel not being involved <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> ) this movie will be nothing more then a second rate sequel with no adorning features...

TBQH, it already looks to be a disappointing season for summer movies.

First of all, almost everything is either a high-budget sequel (<i>X2, Matrix:Reloaded, T3, American Wedding, Charlie's Angels, 2F2F, Legally Blonde 2</i>) or a bandwagon movie which the director thinks will be popular because it worked for other people already.

In terms of movie originality, there's really no summer movie this year that I feel is really even worth the ticket price. Sure, some look like decent movies, but they're all really no more than stale wine in a new bottle.

The Red Dwarf movie is supposed to be coming out this summer. Or was it last summer? Tbh, im not even sure it is GOING to come out any more. Matrix Revolutions is probably the film i most wanna see. Is the trailor at the end of the cinema the same as the one at the end of the game?
  • HawkeyeHawkeye Join Date: 2002-10-31 Member: 1855Members
Yes, I think so. I didn't stick around for the trailor either darnit!

Red Dwarf movie? That was a great british series, but it's so old. Besides, last time I saw it, the character "Cat" pranced around in a cat suit. I don't know if I could see it again and not think he wasn't ****. I was too young to think of such things last time I saw Red Dwarf. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Dumb and Dumberer gonna own <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Alien 5?! Sigorney Weaver can't possibly be doing another one of those.

Though, I think if she comes back, she should be one of those robots. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
That would be a twist wouldn't it? It starts off robots are her worst enemy, then she IS the robot.

Bad Boys II - stuff goes boom, guns go bang and Will Smith kills.

The Hulk - Me angry. Me smash if you no like.

    T3 - it's Terminator. duh. who doesn't like?

    American Wedding - I have a thing for the redhead and the "slavic" girl. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    LXG - It's got a vampire...must see.

    S.W.A.T. - Sam Jackson + Colin Ferrell + Guns = Must See...

    Tomb Raider 2 - Angelina Jolie + Guns =...fun times...especially w/ GF.

Did I forget anything that looked good?
