    Marine bots immediately run off ramboing and demanding I lay down res towers at specific points. I don't want them to do that. I want them to stay in base unless I order them to do so - their behaviousr makes it difficult to keep a track of them. Plus it annoys me when they demand I lay down res towers by "helpfully" suggesting: "I don't see an rt at power subjunction 3!" over & over again. <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    RCBot is designed for, suprise, Rocket Crowbar, not NS. I hardly think it will ever be possible to create a convincing bot for NS due to the complexity of the gameplay...

    First off, Brave Ulysses, your right about them being too demanding on "I don't see a res tower at junction 3" or "you should build an ammo depo at horseshoe junction". Makes you wanna kickem' ALL out due to sheer frustration. But try this : Tell 'Mr. Rambo' to guard a structure in base, this oughta keep his mouth shut but incase it works and he's STILL bragging. Smack a Duck Tape on that sucker buy pulling down the console and typing the Bot whine command. Surley you know that command.

    As for Redford, I think the bots will do you a favor only if YOU (yes, you my friend) give them the waypoints. Meaning don't go by the default waypoints that came with the map, better get rid of the waypoints supplied already in the map (not sure who tried his best before but it don't look too hot!) <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    when u run rcbot, type "bot_wait_for_orders 1" in the console,then they wont run off. They'll just stand there until you tell them to do something.

    I know this isn't exactly to do with RCBot, but while using the bot i wanted to have the opposing team with a big advantage when it comes to team numbers, so what is the line to turn team balancing off?

    Depending on the BOT program your using, if your using RCbot you can accomplish that task by bringing down the console and typing (botmenu) without the brackets. From there you may decide to add a bot to a specific team. As for other BOT programs I'm downloading them to have a look at them so as not to be left speechless when such questions are based on those other BOT programs.

    So hang in there, Zeus, investigation is underway!

    Well, Charlesy006, it depends which bot program and its version your using. True some bot programs actually ate off the mod from the custom games menu but try Rocket CrowBot, this program has proven to be controllable and stable. Give it a go and if you have any more questions, post it here and I'll do my best to reply to you!

    Yes there are many different versions but the ealier ones are the least dependable ones. So download the latest and you should do ok from ther but again if your still not sure about any corners in this program ask me about!

    Cool waypoints Ninja...

    I tried the Tanith one earlier and it's great, they rush the hives etc but i've started about 5 games now on the same map and on no occassions did a marine bot command. They just all seem to rush straight to the hives without building an IP at least.

    It'd be good if the game allowed you to switch teams mid-game and build stuff for the opposition, and then switch back to try and counter whatever you build/upgrade for them.

    If you mean the BOT being the commander then that's because I purposely removed the waypoint that leads to the Comms, if I gave the the waypoint there the result will be hilarious! They'll start building things all over the place, even right in the Comms! But you could try enabling the bot_wait_command 1 in the console but then again they won't attack much of the aliens. Remember if you leave the Comms chair when your playing with BOTS, it's every man for himself. Which I'm trying to fix right now. charley006, I'm afraid you might have to re-install Natural Selection. But I advise you to delete it from the Half-Life folder manually otherwise it won't remove Rocket CrowBot. But once you've re-installed it, install the Rocket CrowBot with the instruction ready at hand. I installed it without the instruction and Natural Selection vanished from my hard drive completely, so don't fall in the same pit I fell into OK?

    Ah i see! You're right about the marines commanding, they seem to have a love for placing proto labs and TF's in random places around the map which isn't too helpful.
