While I think the quality of the peice is very good, It doesn't, in my opinion, fit the style of the skulk. Skulks are more agile now-you-see-me-now-you-don't-now-I-am-ripping-your-head-off creatures, in my opinion

what program did you use to color that? I'm sorry I'm definately not in the know.

I would think Adobe Photoshop with a second layer with "multiply" blending mode on top of it.

Mouse

I actually used Fireworks MX, but I did indeed use multiply to colour it.

And it was a rather easy one to do, but I did add some more shading in places to define the muscles and such.


BTW, I haven't mentioned this yet, but that is an utterly awesome drawing, my only critisism would be that the snout is a little too short.

Very nice sketch, Thrax. Nice job conveying a real sense of the musculature and anatomy of the skulk. My only crit is that he looks a bit like he's smiling...unless that was your intention.

Anyway, I like seeing artists take some creative liberties with the original designs. You definately made it a lot beefier then the standard one, sort of like a skulk on steroids. This is the skulk that, while all the other skulks are running around on walls eating an unhealthy diet of marines all day long, instead spends his time working out at the gym and hanging out at the beach, showing of his skulky biceps and picking up cute gorges. Umm...yeah...
