basically ill be wandering around and hl will crash and teh log says

this sounds like it would be a piece of hl code not ns code or am i worng. i guess im off to reisntall
last time i did obth this time i think im just gonna install hl and see if that fixes it

now then, you say 'crash' to do you meen CTD (crash to desktop)?, Booted from the server?, or what?

trust me on this one, you should run windows update OFTEN
