I can't wait to play this game. Since I was a little kid, I have always wanted to be a space marine. This game looks so great. CS can kiss NS's arse.
Addressing the whole teamwork issue... The teamwork aspect of NS will be greater than any other team-based mod due to one feature: the commander. The marines have to work with their commander and with each other to get anything accomplished. The alien teams knows that the only way to beat a marine team that works together is to work as a team themselves. A group of marines can lay waste to lone aliens, bit in groups the aliens are a force to contend with.
Very very nice as usual. Tiny owns j00. <!--emo&:tiny:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tiny.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':tiny:'><!--endemo-->
a little question after i've seen the new shots on RR.org: Is there a new way of minimap-generating or are the minimaps manipulated by the mapper, because it seems as if they had scanlines and that's something new i think...
In pic #8, would that be the onscreen art for the lvl3 alien? He's the only one with those two spikes sticking out of the sides of his face. Excellent work on the modelling!
BTW, just out of curiosity, are the level 2 and 3 models close to being finsihed model and animation-wise? They're the only two we havn't seen in-game yet. Of course if it's all a secret and you don't wanna tell me I'd understand... although my feelings would be severely gouged.

Atleast that is what I think. Have a nice day.

It generates a sprite image that is used by the HUD for the minimap.
I would guess, then, that these sprites can be further manipulated, for example by adding the logo to Hera's minimap.
Just my stab in the dark, anyway.
