Umm are you loading ns thru the desktop shortcut it makes? the shortcut has an errored path go through start menu to open ns.

I fixed my corrupt shortcut by adding c:\sierra\half-life to my start in directory <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I've done the same mistake by going through the shortcut the program provided on the desktop, all I got was "GET OUT!". Take it from the Start Menu my friend!
