Hey, I could really use some help here. I need to get to a certain IP. Well, I'm a total idiot, soo... I have no idea how to get there! I use Gamespy, which doesn't show IP adresses, so know search function or anything. Just server names, which I didn't get. No, I can't use the built-in Half-Life multiplayer functions. They just don't work for me.     What I mean is, when I use the Multiplayer tab on Half-Life, it doesn't work, there are usually some 40,000 servers, and the filter doesnt work, and I'm looking for one server IP... Thanks, I'll try what you said.

    get Gamespy 3D (not Arcade) or the All Seeing Eye, either of those show IP and let you add a server via IP.

    OR in half-life, join a game then bring down the console with the ` key (after you've added -console to your command line) once you're ingame (it doesn't work in the menu) the type "connect x.x.x.x" where x.x.x.x is the ip you wanna join.

    example:

    Once again, .hlla is better than all three of those put together and is free (ie. not sharewar or adware). Geez... I must sound like I'm one of the developers or something, it really is the best one I've seen though.

    I like and use HLSW

    thats another good program that is free and lets you connect to IPs/show's you who's in the server/ how many players etc etc etc

    works for me in the menu <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->... maybe it's because i add the :27015 (or whatever the standard port is), since i just copy and paste them.

    ASE for me. About the only problem I have with it is that you can't jump directly into a Freelancer game with it. But that's not their fault. Stupid Microsoft.
    And I've got no problems with just clicking 'let me try for 7 more days', once a week. Great program, highly recommended.
