I like this model, only thing I don't quite like is the draw animation. Not fast enough...

There are a few "holes" in the skin like next to the ammo counter. PLEASE before you leave fix them, this is the best LMG model I have ever seen (damn you, now I don't even WANT a HMG while I have this puppy) and I can't stand the lille hole there =\.

Oh, BP i have been loooking at how you made this models counter work, very clever. With this system of moving tiles of numbers around you could make this work on any weapon couldn't you?? Also is there anyway using somesort of timing system to make the counter actually count?

*sigh. So we waited all this time for a mediocre pulse rifle. Don't get me the wrong way I still think its a nice PR. Its just that it was so hyped up with the testing and variety of different skins. There are a few things that really needs fixing. In the pictures it looks like a pretty beefy gun but when you try it ingame it doesn't really look as beefed up as was we were supposed to think.
Its obviously small like liku said. Draw animation is a little slow. I thought you had that in the bag though panther. Didn't anyone see the um problems? Panther - just ignore them. it's a great model - and I bet no one could do half as good as it. HEY! You guys try creating animations and skinmeshes and all that rubbish! It's not easy! All I can say is, Good job, and I am so-going to use this.
In my opinion, this model is very good. The animations are very good too, just its the draw animation that gets to me a little. Plus there were a couple of slight touchups that could be done. It's fine as it is, but if you get the chance for a v1.1, go for it!
my ammo counter doesnt work.... and yeah the model could be made a little wider cause right now it looks a little skinny. GOOD MODEL!!!! o yeah and i need new sounds cause the one that came with it just arent the avp sounds.
Yeah, I'd imagine animation is not a fun process. Props again to BlackPanther for producing the awesome Pulse Rifle. I certainly like using it more than the AvP2 Pulse. I'm using my own sound I made up for it, but other than that *mwah mag-ni-fique. He went all out and even got low-poly w/p models for it, and sprites to boot. Over all a great alines pulse rifle, i like it a lot better than the first one that came out.

Had a look, quite nice I think. I prefer the reload anims Maus did tbh, lets you see a bit more of the gun, but that's a minor niggle.

While the original thread did get a little silly ( 40 pages!? WTH? ) at the very least quite a few board members are a lot better at skinning than they used to be, so a worthwhile exercise overall.
Oh, and to everyone knocking it, if you think you can do better, please do.

i want leet0x hands on a leet0x pulserifle.. this one is not beefy enough... and the ammo counter,ejection port,cocking handle..grenade ejection port is on the wrong side... first i thought its a cool idea with this semi working ammo counter... but ingame it was odd.. the counter shows always 50 rounds (i know u cant make a fully working one) ..its just pretty odd.. i think it would be cooler to switch the counter to status mode.. OK for loadet and ready , FR for firing, -- for empty and the RD for reload..
i prefer Duo Maxwell's Converted Pulse Rifle(the 1 from CS)
it looks much more closer to the 1 in the movie IMHO anywayz

Very nice indeed. The animations looked crappy in the Model viewer ( <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo--> ), but ingame it turn out quite nicely. Here's my effort.
