Just balance ?
Hi,
I read the change-lists of the internal versions. Now I want to know if only balcancing is left or are there things which should have to get (re)implemented ? If its only balancing the release wouldn't be as far awas as if new things would get implemented ( and also have to get tested ). I hope you know the answer

It does seem that Flayra's concentrating on balance a lot these last few builds...whether that's an indication of whether 1.1 is about to come shooting out of his womb like an oiled skulk is hard to say. I'm sure MonsE's "blitz" will tell us "Soon Enough"©.

    Edit: Typos.

The official answer is and always will be "When it is done"

It is through the act of balancing that the team determines what to keep and what to remove/change. Its an ongoing process. There is no estimate.

Estimates lead to expectations, which leads to disapointment when those expectations are not met.

Fade metabolize is still borked, for one. And there's also a bunch of little bugs which popup every now and then which need to be fixed. As far as adding features to the game, I don't recall any being talked about which haven't been added.

So yes and no, it is mostly just balance changes remaining, but not solely .

ok, he's new guys. Here's the story on 1.1. 1.1 is NOTHING like 1.0x. 1.0 through 1.04 were balance and bug issues for NS. Now that we're done with the 1.0x builds, he's planning on changing some stuff, major issues, extra stuff he would have preferred to have in 1.0x, etc. It's coming in the package known as 1.1. Some see it as a holy grail to which they will return to playing NS, others see it as it really is, a big step in the growth of NS. Any developers, or followers of builds realizes that everyone has their own system of bug fixes. HL uses a complex 4 digit system. 1.1.0.4 or whatever it is now. I believe the last digit is for minor fixes/balance issues, the next one for bigger fixes, the next one for actual changes to the game (like adding in that nice little voice comm we all have now), and the last one is actual version number. E.G. this is HL 1. Hope that answered your quesiton!
