Essentially - type "toggleeditps" (note the PS not IPS) into console - mute as per normal - then go back to console and type toggleeditps again to reenable your right click menu. The thread mentions binding a key to it and all.
we r always on that map and cant stop talkin over mics lol
Then once you go to the menu (TAB i guess?) then toggle it on and mute. Should help.
As a team based game NS is as much "what you know" as it is "how well you play"
Muting a player is a bit like giving the other team an advantage. Though the muted player may be annoying, they do provide useful information from time to time. Information that could have saved you from the skulk he saw hanging from the ceiling above your head.
Generally there are some players that just need to be muted as their incessant chatter blocks out all aspects of the game.
It would be very amusing if servers could keep track of who was muted and when. It would be very interesting to see who was the most muted player of all NS.
I asked the other players to let me know if he said anything important.
I got a few replies to that including "It doesn't look like that is going to happen any time soon." :-D
Soon several other marines were asking me how to mute. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->
