Cant Look Down (or Up)

<div class="IPBDescription">Only in ns</div> I was watching the EU vs USA demos (mainly to learn from their tactics) last night and this morning. I watched all four of them in order and then decided I want to play some ns on the fun maps, so I downloaded some of them and installed them, then joined a server. When I joined it couldn't look down or up, so I thought maybe its a server or map bug and joined another server. That didn't solve the problem, so I restarted my computer, again no luck. This only happens in NS (i've tried cs and that works fine).

Please how do i solve this problem?

heres my computers specs -

1.666 ghz amd athlon xp 2000
geforce 4 ti 4200
512 ddr memory

(oh im using a logitech optical mouse, and a microsoft multimedia keyboard (I recently installed the keyboard and everything has gone fine for the first few days.))

I assume you use the mouse to look

make sure mouse look is on

if you have a joystick pluged in make sure NS is nbnot ussing it

check this cvalue: m_pitch (or possibly m_yaw, I can't remember which is which) if it happens to be 0 sett it to like .022 or -.022

Same thing happened to me after watching those demos, just re check use mouse look in the options.

Ok i really feel like a f00l now, I thought if mouse look was disabled then the mouse wouldn't control anything.

*cough* If you change the option in the menu, it automatically updates your config.cfg file, so long as it is writable.

Additionally, many people dislike mouse smoothing. It averages your mouse movements, leading to unreliable movement, especially on fine motions. If you have a decent mouse, you should get far greater performance with smoothing turned <b>off</b>.
