Being Kicked From Servers

<div class="IPBDescription">getting annoying</div> Simple. About 50% of the time I join a server I get automatically bumped after 10 seconds. I get an error message about server protocalls not matching in the console. Anybody know how to fix this problem?

Two things come to mind:

1) Make sure your HL or CSRetail is up to date

2) The servers you are trying to join may be running <a href='http://www.cheating-death.com/' target='_blank'>Cheating Death</a>. If that is the case download and install CD.

This happens when you join a CD server, leave, and then try to join a non CD server. To fix this, just exit to your main menu.
