Ns_congo Generator Hive Update

<div class="IPBDescription">Yes it's called the generator hive now.</div> Ok, here is the hive updated. I moved the boxes and changed some of the textures. I added a generator thing an the reverse end of the hive to fill space ang give the hive a name, generator hive (original eh?). I made light bars on the celing to make it harder for jetpackers to fly in. I also moved the boxes and stacked toem and rotated them too. Also I put a window in the back of the hive.

    put some different coloured lighting in there and it will look a lot better, as of now its all green, except for the blue in the first pic.

    yeah, play with the lighting a lot and we might not notice the repeating textures on the walls.

I figure you can get a better feel of the map this way anyway. Behind the hive is button, press it and see what happens. I think it is cool. It is my solution to the lighting thing. I hope this makes you feel a bit better. Remember that this room is light by the sun which is why the light ing (currently) is so plain. My "fix" tho should make it look better and still be beliveable. any way test it out for me please! BTW only the 1 hive so far and the marine start is in a small box outside the hive behind one of the doors.

    :edit: You might have to download this .wad to use this map. I compiled with -wadinclude on so you shouldn't have to, but just in case.

    Nevermind about the wad, I fixed it and it is working right now so yea. Try it out and give me your oppinion please. It really is cool and I can't show you my neato lighting idea so give it a try and tell me what you think.

    Hey, your Avatar is so cool and... authorative. So I downloaded the map and hope you made the light GRAYYYY AS I told you because the sky is GREY!!!     so... lets look...

    Hehe, yea, nice... still green <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo--> , but quite nice. But please find light sources quickly... Some blue sparks for the generator and a ...erm... green sun.

    Did you press the button? My excuse is that the thick atmosphere of the planet distort the light and give it a green tint. Haha I am still playing with the lights I just wanted to see what people thought about the lighting after the "button"

    I still think you need to put infestation on the glass.... that would shut everyone up about the green light problem, and it would look cool too.

    Apart from the fact that the top of your crate is a door and the texture tiling still need some work, it seems pretty good. Just go easy on the celing obstructions and give skulks clever places to hide.

    I like my celing obstructions! They are a place for skulks to hide. Also there is the box's where they can hide and behind the generator and in the vent/brokenhalfofpipe.
