Map Not Upgating Changes

Today I was mapping fine and then I changed the architecture for my room and added a vent and a new room, etc. Now when it compiles and runs it and I go into the map, those changes don't show up. Everything is the way it should be in my 3d view in hammer, but when i go into the map it's as if I didn't do anything for the past two hours.

Are you sure you put the .bsp in your ns/maps folder? (Happened to me once)

On the line in the "Build Programs" tab in options where it says "Place compiled maps in this directory before running game" I have the line "C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\ns\maps". Is that what you're talking about? Cause I have that.

Yeah if that is you ns directory, hmmm... Can't really think of any other reason. Try doing a search and see if it really places the map in that directory.

Check your compile log, maybe the map has an error (leaks, for example) and it couldn't finished the compile, so, it doesn't copy anything and you still see your last error-free version <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I dont generally compile to the maps folder i compile to C;/ manually move the map into the folder then manually the map,

For temp maps i just use hammer and compile to the ns/maps with -game ns -console -developer 1 +map <mapname> on the additional parameters,

sounds like you have probably mixed up to the compile location, valve/maps for example

Go to hammer. Then go to "map" then "check for problems". If theres an error in there about perpandicular faces or something, all you have to do it fix it. Then your problem will be solved. If not then do what other people said.
