Finding Nemo

disney/pixar's new movie
I just got back from this movie, and here's my rant regarding it:
First and most importantly, the visuals alone make it worth the ticket price. Seriously, Pixar has outdone itself on the visuals with this movie. While some characters are obviously animated, the other characters and the backdrops are just absolutely beautiful. Sydney, for example, was literally about as close to real-life as it could possibly be.
I found the story to be a little bit weak, but certainly keep in mind that Disney is usually aiming for the 'kid/teen' age group. Overall though, it was a decent story - certainly the kind you'd come to expect from Disney by now.
The main characters were very well developed, and even minor ones received some significant development during their brief appearances on-screen. Crush, for example, was developed nicely, and even contributed a critical change to Marlin's character development. I'd have loved to see more of him, as he was my favorite minor character in this movie.
As I've mentioned in previous movie rants, my final rating of a movie depends on the answer to one question : "is it a buyer?". In this case, 'absolutely'.

GIVE ME ALL THE GOSS!
But i live in Australia and have to wait till our summer (your winter) for it to come out here.
Its enough to make you buy pirated dvd's and fire up kazza.
ps. i love disney and pixar movies.
Really, some day I need to watch all the Pixar movies, as I haven't seen any...
I'll make it a point to see each movie at least before it can be rendered in real-time ^_^
They made 5 in a distrobution deal with disney.
Toy Story (classic)
Toy Story 2
A Bugs Life
Monster Inc (classic)
Finding Nemo
They are all very high quality movies. Whilst they look good, the motto of Pixar is Story First, always Story first, so they are also highly entertaining.
ps. not just for kids.
I agree.
I almost, almost wish Blizzard would create a movie making division. Not doing crap like Starcraft or Diablo movies, but doing their own creative animated works, competing w/ Pixar and uhh... Pixar.
The "Arthas Betrayal" cinematic is perhaps the coolest damn rendered scene EVER. I just love it.
but if thats what floats your boat.... *cough* geek *cough*
/me stands on a soapbox
Would just like the say that the best movies are not those cutscenes in games.
Lol, so I take it you've also watched that scene at least seven times? That choral music with the big bell and stuff is pretty damn cool, too.
I was going to see Finding Nemo last week, but then there were complications with friends getting rides to the theater, and the plan kinda fell through.
check out, my favorite clip from pixar: Geri's Game
Yeah that preview was the reason i got WC3
Haven't seen Finding Nemo, but I've heard lots of great things about it.
Personally, my favorite Blizzard cinematic... Act III from Diablo II... Tyrael vs. The Wanderer, then Baal joins. Oh my. WC3 has some amazing ones, too, though - like the one mentioned here.
