Y'all should check out the demo. The closest game in existence would have to be chess. You have 18 different unit/weapon/building types and each costs 1, 3 or 7 resources to launch from your hub. You can place additional hubs and structures. It's got a scorched-earth-esque direction and momentum launch control so there's a fine mix of twitch gaming and strategy.
A very well polished game. The demo was good enough to get my to buy the full version.
If you have the full version and want a game, pop into #naturalselection where I can promptly beat you into submission and send you home crying.

Check out this site for a list of files. The demo is there and so is the mighty-handy IP connection tool that makes internet gameplay possible without gamespy crapcade.
This game should be well and truly into the bargain bins in your local software outlets so go and snag a copy. I'll be worth it.

Edit: Here's a link to a pretty good overview of the game that also includes a lot of very handy tips. Well worth having on your desktop for reference.
As for the game itself, it shows promise, but the demo sucks. Just by the time you start having fun and getting into the game, the time limit runs out. "It's a demo you know, not the full version." Yeah, but if the demo doesn't entertain me, I'm not tempted to buy the full version.
I agree their site is ponce. I hate flash being used for websites. Next time you're in your local EB you should check the bargain bin. You're likely to find this in there for $5 or less. It's great fun MP, especially with a VoIP app running in the background for added tauntage.
It's worth noting that there is NO unit that I wouldn't use in a single game of MBC. Every unit has a unique purpose and function. It allows for some really cunning tactics. PA did a writeup on this a while back, they liked it.
It's also worth noting that this game requires absolutely no computing oomph to run and yet it's graphics are quite cool.

I figured out that the "challenge" mode has no time limit. That's a plus. A big plus. Virusing the enemy three times, then spiking an unprotected hub that is directly connected to his main hub and taking him out with a single shot is fun (yes, the AI was a moron it seems). The game seem to have that "a minute to learn, a lifetime to master" quality that chess has. If I see it in a bargain bin somewhere, I'll pick it up.
Another convert.

P.S. I meant the graphics were cool when compared to the minimum requirements for running the game. Not compared to Doom 3.
