<div class="IPBDescription">Some last shots before the deadline</div>Well, I've already sent my map in to the necessary recipients, so whether it makes it into the playtesting rotation is up to them (and I really hope it does).

Much thanks goes out to Chalupamonk and his killer sky.

These first two shots are of the marine spawn area.  I figured that first impressions can mean a lot, so I polished up this small room (though the adjacent ones are still temporary).  There are visw ent packet errors, so some things are missing (a glass plane above, an additive brush on the ceiling, and a catwalk).  I'm really hoping this is just an NSTR error, because it's throughout the whole map.

Here we have what should be a rec room.  The window panes aren't visible (vis ent packet errors).

Now, looking out the hive room towards the exterior hallway/tube.

And finally, the Crew Quarters hive room.  I had to use a previous compile for this one (so the cool sky isn't there).  Otherwise, you wouldn't have seen all the particle systems and stuff.

    I know you can't change the map considering you sent it already but I'll give some feedback. The Marine Spawn place is nice. I love the huge window. However I think you you make those nean blue trims a bit darker. I like the lighting and how it works with windows. The tube hallway outside adds a nice touch. Don't change your hive room, it's perfect. This map has the most spacecraft theme I've ever seen. Good job.

    I really like them, but the neon-teal border in the first two shots is a little extreme IMHO.  Very nice work.

    Yes, i agree with Yoshi, the marine spawn looks good but those blue lights dont.  I think they are 1) too bright, 2) too many of them and 3) too close together.  All 3 points add up to a 'in your face' attitude, (that part of your map looks like a RC map) and the rest of your map does not have that feeling.  Also, i have not played the game so if you know otherwise, ignore this -- but the R.P. in the hive looks like it could block a lvl 4/5 if a Tower was on it.

    I think black wolf made some really cool looking blue strips. Red ones as well.. Nay has them in his map.

    Greedo: if you want the blue + dark blue + red strip textures either find them in one of nays previous posts or PM me an email address and ill make a .wad and send them to you.

    About the blue strips:  I like them the way they are, I guess.  That is supposed to be some kind of hangar/docking bay, so it would be good to be able to easily see the walls.  If there's really a large outcry from people playing on the level (as opposed to just looking at it <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> ), then we'll see.  I'll keep the offer in mind, Black Wolf.

    About the node in the hive:  It's in a little nook in its own corner, so it won't be blocking anyone. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    Greedo, looks great, but i agree with steve and co about the blue strips, however, the last pic is just AWESOME, seroisly, great job!

    Is that force field in the first two shots texture or particle based? (either way, it looks pretty good)
