Muzzle Sprites

Hey, Does anyone have a link to the original muzzle flash sprites that came with ns? i was trying out the big blue ones from unreal 2, and lost the original ones. Does someone have a link to them?

Allright, I rarely post, but I need to slip this in anyway. You are going to get one of these in every single post asking for original things back, and there's always one of these:

There we go. Your best bet right now is to reinstall Natural Selection, because in my past experience of reading these sort of posts, the poster is never helped, mainly because we dont stick our originals online for others to dl, because we assume people back their stuff up. Well I suppose that's the end of it, just remember what I said people.

More helpfully, a person could if he were so inclined suggest that if no-one's willing to send you the defaults it's easy enough to use muzzle sprites from any HL mod (which considerably increases your options for custom flashes). Just make sure the names match up (muzzleflash1.spr, mulzeflash2.spr, and muzzleflash3.spr). I'm not sure exactly what each of the three is for, but frankly it doesn't matter. I use the same sprite (from DoD) for all three.

P.S. If you don't have anything genuinely useful to add, it'd be nice if you refrained from ugly big red all-caps shouting.

Maus, surely you have learned by now that noone pays attention to anything unless it's in big ugly red shout spam or whatever you called it.

now you understand why i still have the NS install file...

i've gotten sprites to D/L from servers, just like models, and maps... but yeah, it's not guarenteed... just keep a backup... or the install file.

and if you re-install, don't forget to make a copy of your maps folder first.. D/L those custom maps was a pain the first time, why go through it more than once?

--BTW just because i feel the need to tell you guys... i'll be gone for the weekend.

If one reinstalls NS without deleting the old one a folder called something like NS.backup.GLF8 will be created and it contains all your old ns files...
