Get the tutorials that can be downloaded from the Gmax website. I learned how to model from over there. (Though I haven't actually done much yet <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> )
How did you make this if you don't know how to make new shapes? <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=19&t=35119&hl=new+model' target='_blank'>http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/in...19&hl=new+model</a>

1. Make a box. 2. Make a cylinder where the hole in the box should be. Use autogrid to place cylinder on the box. Just tick the auto grid box at the object creation rollout. Move the cylinder into the box. 3. In the same tab that you use to make the simple shapes, find the dropdown box that says "Standard Primitives" and then select "Compound Objects" 4. Select the box. 5. Press the Boolean button in the rollout (the place with all the tabs) 6. Scroll down the tab and check if the rollout says A-B somewhere there. 7. Find the "select B operand" button in the rollout and press it. Then select the cylinder. 8. The cylinder *should* dissapear and leave the box with a nice little hole in it.
