<div class="IPBDescription">need help</div> i just downloaded steam to try out C-S 1.6, i setted it all up but when i go into C-S and host a game agasint bots it only fills up 2 blocks in the starting local game server and freezes, even when i try to play online it freezes, could any one who has steam help me ? do you have to pay money for it aswell ?

    At the moment Steam is completely free. VALVe plan to
    introduce certain "pay to play" features but thats not confirmed.

    As for you Steam problems, the only thing I can advise is to
    simply leave for alone for 10 minutes. Sometimes it looks like
    its not doing anything (especially when newly installed) but
    its actually cache'ing files or verifying them.

    I usually play again the bots early in the morning when the
    content provider servers aren't overloaded.
