If Ken’s excellent Space Station Nothing is <b><span style='color:orange'>Scorpion</span></b> then Shaft will have to be <b><span style='color:blue'>Sub-Zero</span></b>, it freezes you to the spot and all you can do is stand and stare.

Becuase everyone is saying how great your map is (and your mpa is amaznig) I will try to come up with some cirtism that might help ya out...
Pic 1) Is the hive in the ground?
Pic 3) I dont know why, probably the lighting but this area does not get me as excited compared to other areas of your map.
Pic 6) For a hive room, I dont see too much infestation on the ground, infact -- I dont see any. And the walls look a little plain as well becuase you scaled up the texture. Adding more infestation/scaling down the textures might not be possible but I figured I would still throw it out there.
.......
droolz =P~~~
nice map, nice architecture, nice textures

Secondly, would you prefer for the mappers to make square 90 degree walls and use simple, white, sqaure, typical Half-Life-style office lights? The mappers are working very hard to create immersive atmospheres, and part of this IS to create eye-candy, but i assure you, all the non-crucial details have been thought out very thoroughly, and not just added at random. Maybe if you don't like part of the architecture, texturing or lighting, you could be more specific instead of just saying it looks ugly.
Creative criticism which mappers can work off is appreciated. Bland, shallow criticisms are not helpful.
Im still shocked you can make such beautiful maps with the half-life engine, and people say hl is crap, oh well.
Of the maps i've seen so far this must be my favorite.
All of the maps i've seen to NS must be the most awsome peices of art i've ver seen to a hl modd.
Just love the lighting and the atmosphere of the enviroment, as if i did'nt think ns would look good already, now it's even better looking.
Keep up the good work, would love to see this one in the first release. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

So then why bother hanging around here? to tell mappers that the stuff they've worked hard on is ugly? You don't have to be here. Go move on to the next generation game engine message boards.
yes the HL engine is old, but if q3 engine or unreal would work better it would have more mods and more pple playing them, but the real thing is that thats not true. HL is the best engine for over half of the gamer, cuase not everyone has a 1Ghz and 512 RAM.
Now you say hl maps look ugly, but theres also pple who say that jennifer lopez isnt beatiful, so i think your beauty idea is not the same as ALL of us here. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> go and play q3 or unreal then <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
