All it needs is the yellow beady eyes, the spikes, a little tail and we're all set! I'll post pictures when I get it done (expect photos in about 3 weeks).

I'll get my Mom to help out (she at least can sew in a straight line) <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

If it looks good enough, I'll send it to Flayra as a gift.

    Merchandising is WIN <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

In all seriousness I would buy the plush gorge/onos/lerk/fade and skulk and stick em on my car windows.

Imagine a lerk and a skulk with those suction caps stuck to your car windows when you pull up at the lights <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> RAAAAAAARRR!

AND then you can have an ONOS, Fade and Gorge on the shelf at the rear window!

ooooo if only I had a spare 10 grand (AUD) spare <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> I'd do up my commodore VL with a Natural Selection scene paint job.

[QUOTE=Flayra]This is a cool idea, but I seem some problems with it. Well only two problems, but they're pretty big.

    1. All the orders would have to be paid for up front. There's no way I would purchase 500 plush toys and then hope that people buy them.

    2. To make the Gorge the right quality and make sure it wasn't an embarassment to the NS universe, it would take significant time and effort from Cory and I, working with the company. This is time we just don't have right now. We're already swamped just trying to get 1.1 out to you, we don't have time to do this extra work. I don't think either of us would be comfortable letting someone else handle it.

As for number one. Id pre order to give you money heehee.

    hell yeah

make them normal beanie babie price or whatever, which I think is around $8......

I'd buy a skulk, a gorge, a lerk, an onos, a marine, an HA

hell, that's $48 right there. I'd even prepay.............

Flayra, I think its possible that we could get together the skills and knowledge to put together a few simple plush toys. I have been thinking Mainly a plush gorge but, a onos, skulk, lerk and maby a marine would be possible.
Let me do some research and find out if its 1; possible 2; practical 3; could you make any loot doing it. While I realize that a big long thread doesnt equal actual purchases I feel that there is at least a modest demand and that you have a potental money maker here.

I think a pre order system to test for demand is indeed a logical step towards geting us teh plushies.
  • 0blique0blique Join Date: 2003-05-18 Member: 16477Members
Why doesn't someone make a poll and see how many people would buy them (and give a reasonable estimate for the price too). Then you just count the number of yes votes, and then you can get a rough idea of how many people would want to buy one (I suspect it would be a lot less than 500).
  • Trojan2Trojan2 Join Date: 2003-01-14 Member: 12290Members
OK i have spent some time researching this and most companies requir about 500 per order. A few chinese sweat shop places may go with orders of about 100.
Personally I think Flayra should set up a vote and if that gets any decent respones then he could go and set up a tentive pre-ordering system.
Honsetly I would by stuff from the store but the only things im intrested in is a game box (which would be a cool companion to donating to Constellation) and a beenie gorge.

I know that we may not have any NS plush dolls anytime soon, but if they were available, I would buy a small palm-sized and a life-sized (maybe 36" long?) gorge.
