Weird Glitch Please Help

Ok everything is all fine up until right when i try complete the connection to the server. I just cant complete the connection. I see all the server stuff that you see while loading up by then nothing it just sits there for a long time if i let it and net graph has those little dots on the botto which mean your bout to be connected. I cant get in a server but if i use quick start somtimes i can but i dont want to use that cause i usually end up in empty servers. I dont have these problems with DOD HL or CS.


Specs:
pent 4 2.0
1536 mb of DDR RAM
plenty of hard drive space bout 40 gigs left free
a good video card in open GL mode
Cable internet
windows ME
all driver updates
a good sound card that is not in that EA (somthing like that) mode
the same version of NS
and cheaters death where applicable

Reformat With Windows XP, windows ME is somewhat of a sorry beta test for xp. Reformat fixes all......

Windows ME does suck a big weiner. It would never recognize my video card and crashed frequently.

Then I got XP and became the winnar.

ok is ase jsut like HL manager? cause thats what i use it works fine for SC and on occasion it works for NS and yes windows ME is the absolute worst im trying to get XP but til then id like to be able to use NS. Thx 4 the help tho guys but i still dunt know whats wrong and i treid reinsatlling it 2 times actully.

do you use CS retail or HL?

have you tried a reinstall of your retail products as well as NS?

yes sc is CS and i have reinstalled em all are there any other possible problems?

sorry mate, it honestly sounds like a connection problem, not software.

The fact that you can randomly get in leads me to believe that either your ISP is being flaky or something like that.

I honestly have no solutions. Sorry

Iy works occasionally and no i havnt changed a thing and i have had this prob since i first got it. No my connection is a super-stable cable i connect to CS in like 40 seconds or so with no problem. Well thanks anyways guys.
