Who are some of your music stars?
So yea being that I like from almost any type as long as it has a catchy tune, I was looking for some nice stuff from you Europeans.
For some reasone I feel compelled to add to my already 10.6 gig 2,136 track playlist. Do i listen to all those songs, yea. Plus I add to a college radio station sometimes so thats y i have so much.
6.4 gigs is techno and dance however the other 4.2 gigs is a mixture of everthing from country to rap to classical to punk, folk, whatever genre you can think of. Thats the area I want to expand upon.
So anyways who are some of your more popular/liked/musicaly skilled/whatever you listen too music artists?
BTW: I heard some some track by some British pop/rap guy, anyone know who he is? The song was about him being regarded as a hoodlum but how he is actualy such a nice guy. It was really funny. The end of the track had him and some "Nerdy" guy debating back and forth.

Kill! KILL!! Scourge of the german music scene! Argh!
Try "Die Fantastischen Vier", "Die Toten Hosen" and "Die Ärzte".
That's "The Fantastic Four", "The Dead Trousers" (which is slang for "it's kinda boring around here") and "The Doctors".
I should have expected you'd post that one, dansker. ^^
Try "Kashmir" too.

All of those are supremely good. Royksopp are getting rather famous now, which is nice.

Btw. were they the guys with "Zehn kleine Jägermeister" or was that "Die Prinzen"?
Mum - Very lovely lo-fi electronica from Iceland
The Darkness - Kind of your classic glammy rock band, and the first one of all these retro bands that keep cropping up that's really worth listening to
Tracks to sample:
Hood - You show no emotion at all
Hood - They removed all trace that anything had ever happened here
Mum - Now there's that fear again
The Darkness - Growing on me
Yea Ill give u that (John Digweed) and the Germans too
i like bluemchen, the voice is so seksi even if the face isnt.
and Scooter - The Logical Song is good although scooter tries to sing too much for a brit DJ.
Welcome to oxymoron land, where 'greatest' and 'rave' occupy the same sentence...
Blerg.
No... Mars and Mystre aren't Brits.
...............What? ......Well I like them....

Those were the Hosen. I have yet to see the Prinzen come up with anything 'worse' than vague sexual innuendo.
Oh, and I agree - Rammsteins members should be used in the fashion their name suggests.

Been listening to those 2 groups a lot recently... Great music
Lars Lilholt Band! Don't laugh, I've been to one of their concerts (free admission rules), and it was quite good in fact. Just as long as you're in the right mood. I don't know if it's worth anything if you just listen to it on your compy.
I think you might be talking about a track from "The Streets-Original Pirate Material"..can't remember the name of the track though..
This week I is mostly listening to..
Leftfield - "Leftism", "Rhythm and Stealth"
Massive Attack - "Protection", "Mezzanine" "Safe from Harm"
Black Sabbath- "Best of ( remastered )" which is quite frankly the dogs bollocks, even though "St.Vitus dance" and "Children of the Sea" should have been on it in place of some of the well dodgy later stuff..
Led Zeppelin- Remasters ( yes, I am an old hippy.)
Soundgarden - Superunknown
PJ Harvey - "Stories from the city.." "4 Track demos*" "Rid of Me"
* This record walks the fine line between insanity and genius with considerable style.
Edit: Camille Yarborough- "Take Yo Praise" . This is the song that tosspot Fatboy Slim sampled in "Praise You", if you can get a copy of the original, it's fluffing amazing.
Oh, and James Brown-"Live at Chaiston Park" top stuff.
Dire Straits.

I meant some of the "classic" early 90s Rave stuff, like Prodigy, Ratpack, FSOL, Top Buzz, etc. etc. I thought of them all as British. But European at the very least anyhoo! You know what I mean - tr00 Rave like "This Sound Is For The Underground" by Krome & Time, SL2 "On A Ragga Tip", "Far Out" by Sonz Of A Loop Da Loop Era, the "I feel the heat" mix of "A Trip To Trumpton" by Urban Hype, etc.
Plus Britain invented Drum'n'Bass...
Prodigy absolutely rocked. I saw them at Tin the Park 95? They were brilliant.
/me grinds teeth and dances like a sea monkey
So loud in fact, that we didn't hear a fire alarm going off outside the door.( false alarm luckily ). We were totally clueless and somewhat surprised when 3 firemen strolled in, axes, breathing gear and what not..
Ah, nostalgia..
/wanders off hummiing "Voodoo people" and "No Good"..
