Help! Please Help Me!

<div class="IPBDescription">I need help in the map department!</div> Hi, I have been looking at some NS custom maps and I'm like wow, thats cool. I really wanted to make one so I went and downloaded hammer. I opened it up, and I was so confused. I followed the help and I got no help out of it what so ever. It just didnt do anything, I put the textures in, everything, but nothing came up.

Is there an easier way to set it up or maybe a more user friendly mapper? Can somone help me please? I've got tons of really good ideas in my head, and I even graphed some out, they are really neat...

First ,Chrome Angle has put together a how to, just for NS, it can be found <a href='http://nsworld.ns-central.co.uk/mappingguide/MappingGuide.php' target='_blank'>HERE</a>. It even has a sample map. Second use the mapping forum here at this site, its near the bottom.
