i was just wondering, did you build this off of the original sparky hook? and did you make that one? if so, and you didn't credit should be given where it is due....

n1 releasing the source, /me goes to have a look at it
I just released Sparky-NS 0.62. It's available at http://lysosomi.persikka.com/sparky-ns
The main new features are the triggers. You can now (for example) create custom bindings for your commanding more, gorging mode and normal field soldier/kharaa mode and save them in different .cfg files and let sparky to execute them for you when they are needed.
There are also area location file for ns_nothing and some minor bugfixes (round timer now works, corrected typos in menu files etc)
Damn. I wish that vanilla ns could have even half of these features (triggers could be *wery* easy to implement, and proper say_team tags would be usefull
edit:
In order to use Sparky-NS WinAMP controll with new Winamp 3 you need to run Winamp 2x Plugin Manager (available at http://www.winamp.com/components3/detail.j...ponentId=118230 )

I'd presume he'd not have a problem with it, except the winamp part, that would just become unnecisary spam in the end. I'm waiting until %a (armour) is implemented before i get it running since i already have binds for these things from different servers.

QUOTE (Lazer @ Jun 26 2003, 07:29 AM)

Anyone know how HLamp works? I think it might use a similar system, but its not picked up by anti-cheat programs if I remember correctly.

I'm just checking it out. I'm not sure yet how does it work and what it actually do. anybody used this before?
Beautiful mod that is very usefull, especially in clan clan play. I'd love for this to be incorporated into NS vanilla. Now if you could only make it not be detected as a cheat....
"Extract zip contents (using directory paths) to the Half-Life folder. This is important as the hook won't work properly in any other location."
This does not work for me. Doing this, then running sparky.exe (with the proper switches) gets me into the "not really NS mode." You know the one, where you get the NS menu but see only HL maps?
Since I know this bug comes from not having a proper working directory, I instead unzipped sparky into the NS directory, and ran it from there. Viola, everything works.
Another thing: Changing the HUD color on Eclipse creates this square that overwrites chunks of the view. To see: Change the HUD color in marine start, look roughly towards the east exit, you'll see this colored square. Moving around gives you the sense that the square is BIG, but far away, maybe in the CC hive? Dunno, didn't feel like running over there.
EDIT: I broke down and ran around, the square appears to be under station access east, under the floor. Hard to tell, since it seems like it slides a bit. Limitations of a 2d viewpoint.

Hmm. I haven't tested the hud change color stuff much but now I noticed that there is a similar white square which you described in ns_bast, just outside marinestart (anybody else noticed this)
I'll take a closer look on this as soon as I'm back home (at work atm

I also added a feedback form to sparky-ns webpage. feel fee to send me anonymous feedback if you don't have account in this forum =)

I dont have a clue how it works, I dont think I had to copy anything but the cfg's to my ns directroy
