Late Night Ramblings About Oni

Lately, people in the forum have been saying that if the marines fail to pressure alien resources they will have a large group of oni rampaging through their base. While I don't doubt that this is true, I don't think it seems to be the most effective way to spend your one-hive resources. The one hive onos seems very weak compared to the one hive fade.
As of 1.1j, which seems to be the most recent info on the onos ability tree, the one hive onos has claws and charge while the one hive fade has claws and blink. I see the alien team having perhaps one onos for bullet magnet reasons while fades, lerks, skulks and gorges do the lion share of the damage around the periphery of the fight.
I am looking forward to seeing if onos > all at one hive, or if they can be killed. The early days of 1.1 should see some one hive oni running around, so it should be fun.
It should be a challenge to be a marine again.
