It took 19 questions to work out that I was thinking of anime. So close!
It got confused about magic though.
It took 29 get formula 1 racing car though (it thought I was thinking of a tank!)
    18 to get the moon.
    19 for a cold!
It totally failled to get a DVD disk although it may have been my classification.
It also failed to get water.

Well, it will get smarter over time. Also its opinions aren't entirely accurate, as they only reflect majority opinion.

For example, it's convinced that a scorpion (how come I thought of that word <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->) is an insect, like many people are.

Pretty cool, although there's an easy way of confusing it: Use a very broad term. I tried 'stone' (as in 'synonym to mineral'), it gave up after 30 questions.

    painting
    tv
    carrot

And a tree is similar to Mickey Mouse... but it still guessed correctly. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Anyone have an idea where the questions come from? I first thought it worked like the old Animal Guessing game from school, which traverses a binary tree (IIRC), but that would require you to enter a question when it learns a new word, and these questions seem fixed.

Could it be a pure statistical analysis linked to a dictionary? That would be remarkable.
