<div class="IPBDescription">- First personal drawn photoshop project</div>Yeah, here with yet ANOTHER non-ns related art project, and I'm looking for help to improve my primitive art skills:

Just some questions about the way I created this...
1. I do not have Adobe Illustrator, and initially starting, I tried tracing my scanned sketch in photoshop, which I soon realized to be too difficult (impossible?) for me. The only vector drawing program I have is Macromedia Flash, so I decided to trace it in there. I then tried to copy and paste my tracing to photoshop, which ended screwing up the proportion of the tracing, SO I had to take a screenshot of the picture, THEN import to photoshop. Anyone who can think of a better way to go from tracings to colouring, please let me know.
2. The pen tool... I CAN'T STAND IT! I thought I could use it to trace, but when you're trying trace something more than a uniform line/curve, I've found it impossible. I did pretty much all tracing with the line tool, and stretched it to what I wanted with my arrow tool, with "snap to" usually on - I get the feeling that this seems like a "newbcaek" way of tracing; is that probably a better idea than using the pen tool?
3. I'd like tips/tutorials on colouring/shading.
Yeah, guess that's it. Any other criticisms will be gladly accepted.
