You guys forget about the grunts though. A grunt vs a Fade = grunt is the victor hands down. Well it depends if he has lerk support. Acid Rocket is no match for hornets.
And if a headcrab manages to latch onto a Fade, all hell will break loose. To tell the truth, and onos doesn't stand a prayer of a chance against a Garg. Maybe a bigmomma, but not a garg. All the snarks would group up and kill the gorge, so no hope their either.
Only thinks kharaa could kill are overseers, slaves (are these guys good for anything?) and houndeyes.
Headcrabs are very deadly in groups, especially the small babies. Just like Houndeyes, easy to kill in single pairs, but hard in a group.
And... How would the Kharaas kill the big badass Garg?? The only way to kill him is with explosives. And not to mention those tentacles that comes out of the surface... a single hit of his hawk nose... and your dead. The Kharaas won’t stand a chance against these aliens. Snarks can also be a pain in the ****... fast as hell and dangerous.
But I think that the Kharaas will kill the first aliens pretty easy, like the Zombies, Houndeyes (hard in groups), Headcrabs(same as Houndeyes), Grunts ect.

Gordon Freeman while no doubt a great scientist whose only job in Black Mesa from what I have observed is to push carts full of biological threats around, a janitor could do the same. While the TSA marines are highly trained and use small arms fire for the most part to dispatch large aliens like Fades. Gordon needed a high powered fusion power laser thingamabob to dispatch his foes. It took one Gordon Freeman to take down a strider, it is possible =P, but it takes a minimum of three marines with hmgs and either a jp or a nice elevated spot to kill an Onos. Freeman confuses a strider by hiding behind easily breakable rocks (easy because he had broken almost every other stone formation around)
Anyway my conclusion is, even though I lean in favor of the Kharaa, you have to pick the battleground to truely pick whom would win. If the Kharaa were to invade the aliens from Half-Life home world they would certainly lose. If it were vice versa and the cascade scenario unleashed Half-Life aliens into Kharaa home world, which we know nothing about, they would undoubtibly lose. If they duked it out on middle-ground, Earth, humans would win heh.
if energy weapons are required to kill certain black mesa aliens... doesn't that mean that they're a lot more resistant to conventional poopery? i mean, weaponry?
Don't forget guys that besides the typical run of the mill minions the Black Mesa Aliens had projectile weaponry and really huge monstrosities that would eat onos like popcorn. In fact they had a creature that amounted to a huge mega giga onoszord! Remember him?

No nannites , so no ping of death here. Xen regen pools are worthless compared to the defense chambers , portals are destroyable infrastructures as opposed to movement chambers... Lower life forms would fall prey to OCs and webs. Oni would eat them for dinner. Killing the Nihilanth would only require a small kharaa commando , made of one gorge , one lerk , one fade and one skulk. Fade acid spams the heck out of the defenders while being covered by umbra and healed by the gorge , until they reach the Nihilanth chamber where the gorge makes WoLs on the healing pools. Fades would had little trouble avoiding projectiles with blink. Meanwhile the skulk would chomp the energy spikes. Once the OCs , acid rockets and spikes depleted the Nihilanth's health , it would just wallclimb and drop on the head xenociding the brain. Now the G-Man would have a nasty surprise when the heroes of the day are other aliens <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'm serious about it , should someone convert the HL Xen maps into NS ones , it would be just too easy to win the game.

you actually can start an ns game on the hl maps...i dun know how i do it but i can load the original multiplayer hl maps into lets say cs . its also very easy to do. get the world creator - add a few hives, add a cc, and some names, and a few rt. and wallah! you got your self a new ns map =p
