Just a note, that this is a fun map, And by finally fixed it I mean that I got around to fixing it today. As a matte rof fact I just remade it from scratch in about 30 minutes. And if you hate fun maps don't post here, there is no need to flame.

-wadautodetect in CSG is your friend.

I did wadinclude for the textures that I used. I just forgot to take that one off the list in hammer, It only has 2 textures in it that I made for a friend or mine. but for the wad's with textures I used I did do -wadinclude.

I mirrored it at The Hive Mind in a zip that include that .wad <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

-wadautodetect is different from -wadinclude. It only includes used wads into the map. So no matter how many wads you have loaded into Hammer, only the wads you've used textures from will be required to run the map.

Well then just open the map, remove the wad from the list and compile again. It sure would make my life easier. Ill put it up and if its as good as I hope it is, it will probably make into our server rotation.

Ok, 1 more stomp, I put the map and wad file up on our server. I wrote the res file with the path half-life/valve/unnneeded.wad {cant remember the name} and put the unneeded wad file in the server hl/valve folder. Now when a client trys to dl the map from the server it crashes their pc with a "cant open valve unneeded.wad file" error. I know alot of mappers think ah, I just made a map, its kool, put it on your servers, lets play, so what I got a few extra files with no .res file written. Why wont anyone play my map? Its really kool! But you must understand what the server admin goes through just to get your map up and running. Write the res file, upload the map, make sure the map downloads properly, by downloading the map from the server myself. I have to test it, cant let it mess up my clients, cause then I get flack from them. So now I have spent an hour of my time trying to get a map to run, instead of playing. And the map still wont load correctly. Why? Because its to much trouble for mappers to write res files or compile maps with the correct wads. Im sorry if Im complaining to much, but you have to put a little more time and effort into your map and I will be able to get them to run. Then everyone can have fun playing your maps and i wont have to post stuff like this. Once again Im sorry for sounding off, but please compile with only the wads you need and wadinclude them, then write a .res file for them. Help me to run YOUR map!

Scott, try moving the wad into the NS folder. Half-Life has a habit of saying valve/missingwad.wad even though the wad should be in the ns/ folder.

    [ADDED]

Just wanted to confirm that by putting the mtx_lobby in the ns/ folder, the map will load fine <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
