What's Your Opinion About Earthbound

Bah...
As some of you may know, a new Earthbound game is coming out for the GBA, and the SNES and NES Earthbounds (Mother 1 & Mother 2) are also coming out on GBA together. I've run into alot of people with many conflicting opinions, and I'm bored as hell, so I thought i'd ask the general forumites what they think of Earthbound, and if it really deserves a sequel. I rather enjoyed Earthbound when i first played it in '95, still do. What do ya'll think?

Was Earthbound for the NES the one that sometimes came out and was up to the ROM groups to translate and release?

All I know is the Sword of Mana is coming for the GBA and I couldn't be happier.

The Earthbound for the NES was sometimes released in the US, and was code named Earthbound Zero (Mother 1). Somehow the actual cartridge for it wound up in someone's hands, and that person was paid several hundred dollars so someone could copy it into a rom, and that person even got it back. Then it was translated by people who do that sort of thing with ROMs and released on the net. Earthbound was for the SNES and was released in the US (off the top of my head i think it was June or July 1st, 1995).

Earthbound was, and still is, my favourite game of all time.

I've played it through every year since it's release, mmm, and it's soundtrack still makes up a large amount of my winamp playlist.

But then again, Ness already knows my opinion on this matter.

Secret of Mana is indeed > Earthbound.

Get over it now, facts can't be changed.
