    I celebrated Canada Day by sitting at home sipping a few rum & coke's while all my friends were up at a friend's cabin. Why was I home, you ask? Good question.

    I finally left work last night at around 10pm, and planned to drive up to my friend's cabin from there (<i>it's only about a 45min drive outside of town</i>). Leaving work quite late was already a Bad Sign™.

    Drove though the city, got on the highway, and started cruisin' at 110 km/h. By this time, it was pitch black and there was very little traffic on the highway. Bad Sign™ #2.

    About 20 minutes later, I had to swerve to avoid hitting a moose that stupidly decided to stand right in the middle of the passing lane. Slid for a bit on the gravel shoulder, got back onto the road, spun around, and finally came to a stop on the grassy median between highways.

    Yep, that's right - the third Bad Sign™.

    The damage? Fortunately, all that happened was it blew out my front right tire. I figured that was more than enough very clear signals that I should turn back home.

    So yeah, my Canada Day was spent sitting here finishing up some work that I meant to put off until tomorrow. I mean sure, I'm still getting paid for Canada Day, but it was <i>supposed</i> to be easy money!! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
