<div class="IPBDescription">Please cap turrets to TF!!!</div> Just finish reading the new changelog for 1.1u and first off, sound great! Cant wait till july 31!!

but I do notice turrets are now more powerful and they only cost 5 res!!

Man...I sence turret farming in pub games.....I think they should limit how many turrets can be build with 1 TF.....

    Yeah I guess so...but as long as they get 2nd hive?........so remains to be seen. But then again I wonder if marines will be able to lockdown a hive by turret farm combined elect. TF then work go to work on other hives?? Now that 2nd hive needs to be completed first b4 3rd hive may cause a problem....who knows....im probably wrong

    O Oriented bile bomb properly


    If this means BileBomb isn't the uber-I-shot-your-farms-from-the-other-end-of-the-level-weapon than 5 res a turrets might become a problem. But I don't know what oriented properly means so maybe I'm wrong.

    I guess bilebomb now is affected by gravity and travels in arc instead of like Acid Rocket.

    we'll see

    Remember that ocs cost 5 res as well, and dont need any tf.
    start game --> 25 res
    skulk kills 4-5 marines --> ~35 res
    res input from rts --> ~40 res
    --> go gorge and drop 5 ocs.

    Marines won't succeed to enter the room until they have higher tech or unless they group up. Same should apply for aliens as well then.

    But we'll see when the new build is available

    I wasn't exactly sure what that meant either, but bile bomb should definitely be able to rip through turret farms...

    Yes, but the point is that the aliens have an effective way of destroying them now so it isn't as practical to build large numbers...

    I know some dev is laughing at us right now for out noobish speculation on something we really don't know anything about yet.

    Turrets can also be stopped by taking out the tf. Bilebomb, a skillful skulk/lerk/Fade, or Onos can either take out all the turrets or the tf. While turret farms are possible, it isn't too bad.

    but bilebomb takes two hives to have, and if the marines capture two hives then its only up to skulks to destroy the turret farms which would be pretty hard to do.

    Well, I haven't kept up with all the 1.1 changes so I am not too sure, I will have to go back over them today, but I'm sure it has a better balance concerning this than 1.0x

    there are no hive restrictions on evolutions, you can go onos/fade with 1 hive.

    I guess in the end it remains to be seen.....guess we all will have to wait till july 31st.. =(

    as for being able to fade/ono at one hive and taking out the tf in a turret farm....I thought even thou you can go fade/onos...you wont have acid rocket till 2nd hive (Im not sure)...... so making fades/onos mince meat at 1 hive to turret farms AND Electrified TF's...

    As for Bile bomb......can anyone give me a 100% explanation to the new trajectory fix?

    Either way I wonder if turrets will be the uber strat during early game or mid-game (go crazy with turrets while aliens have only 1 hive!!!.... =) )....man hope it doenst slow down servers.... ME WANT NS2.0 NOW!!! =)

    Where have you been man. This was the whole basis around 1.1 from the start.

    Anyway the aliens will be severly hampered at 1 hive, Fade will only have swipe, Onos will only have gore, but an onos with level 3 carapace and gore is more than enough to kill the TF at a hive that's been locked down, or you could go with 2 fades and a gorge to heal them, etc.

    This is far from lame, two hive lock downs are lame, and now they can't happen. It makes for fast paced games without them being decided in the first 5 minutes and 2 hours spent on unnecessary teching.

    The lack of restrictions and the general changes to buildings health/costs and the recent updates to skulks have made both teams balanced througought a whole round. Aliens can now counter 2 hive lock downs, marines can now counter 3 hives.

    The imbalances evident in 1.04 have been fixed hence 2.0 is being released at the end of the month. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    And 2 fades with gorge support, or even an onos with gorge support will be able to destroy a turret farm with impunity in my opinon.

    Swipe= 80 damage
    Gore= 100 damage

    (correct me if I'm wrong)
