So C-D and VAC conflict you say? Is that a server- or clientside conflict? I.e. will a server with both C-D AND VAC behave weirdly/crash, or will a player with C-D running have problems with VAC servers? Anyway, since using VAC is optional, a server could just as well use C-D instead. It will just allow server admins more options to choose from.

You can use an old arsed speedhack/aimbot with the newest (and I mean newest) version of CD. VAC has stopped speedhacks since the start and it severaly hampers and usually prevents aimbotting. The only thing you can do consistantly with VAC is wallhack, and that imo has little impact on NS due to hive sight, MT, phermones, scent of fear, etc.
I only added CD cause I got tired of getting booted out of servers that req. CD, and then try to join another server and get the bug where I can't join any server. Now, if VAC and CD are used on different servers without a browser icon then there will be a lot of people being booted cause of conflicts when joining unknown servers.
Well, guess the only answer is, all server not to run CD anymore untill they become compatable with eachother.
There is a function on The All Seeing Eye that automatically loads up CD for a server that requires it and turns it off afterwards. It's not perfect but it works 90% of the time.
just fyi- the server admins can turn on/off VAC. C-D doesn't work with VAC
The uninformed will always be uninformed. If you try to play on a VAC server with C-D on, C-D will stop you and go to console, explaining that you must first turn off C-D in order to play on the VAC server.

At least, that's how it works for me.
Riiiiiiight. I just hope that my favorite CD-Req servers keep their CD requirments for 2.0
