1.0x Map Compatability With 2.0

I've been told that 1.0x custom maps will be compatible but also have been told that they won't be compatible. Can anyone confirm whether 1.0x custom maps will or will not be compatible with the upcoming 2.0?
Or is it an issue that some maps will and others won't be compatible? If so, how about starting a list with maps that have been made compatible to 2.0?

This can cause some maps that use timed events (like ns_siege) to go out of sync, depending on what timers are used and changed in what way.
They also changed the way info locations work. They became neutral/unlimited to the z axis. Now when there are 2 different info_locations that overlap each other in the z-axis you might get trouble (ns_misslecommand).
Simple ns Maps should still work (depending on what entities are used in wich ways).
I hope there is lots of backward compartibility.
Reworking maps to make them run in 2.0 should only take 10 minutes.
And a couple of hours to compile <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

[snarkily ot] the <i>best</i> thing being that no versions work with 2.0? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> [/ot]

All I'd heard about map compatability was that the new JPs may affect whether some areas are reachable in certain maps, and other similar distance-related issues.
