ok i proly wont get anthing, but u have a better chance asking than if you dont.
Ok here's what's up. Im making a map, not a crudy piece liek i suualy do, im doin the whole thing on paper first, like they say to do. Here's what i need.
Well in one room, it's going to be dark , three weldable doors seal it from life. Once you open the first, you notice a red light somewhere in teh room (depending on where you open it). You walk over and 'use' it. Lights turn on, to reveal an old data center. a glass screen is before you, and behind you five pads lie on the floor. You then notice another button close by, you click it. A voice turns on about the history of the station and what comes on, slowly as it's talking, it begins to describe their experiments of genetic breeding, where they created the first monster, bob. At that point one of the floor pads lights up with his model slowly rotating and translucent like a holegram. It begans to describe how it started to uncontrolably evolve, and begins showing other stages up to 5. Your atention turns back to the glass screen infront of you, now showing images. The voice above you tells how he got loose in teh vents, and started a colony, expanding like a swarm, how they sent several squads to eliminate him, but all failed. Shows a movie of 3-4 marines being attacked by the aliens. Then the voice fades, ending with how they took over and they must be stopped.
so things i need?
We'll i may not need them yet, i still have to finish the rest of my map.
But when the time comes, heres what i'll need
models of bob, pudgy, flyer, blinky, and tiny
a small video clip (4-5 seconds) of a marine/alien fight, broken into individual bmps or gif or jpgs.
and a suggestion on how i do the voice clip, how did you get the voices for the flash opening?

First, I'm not sure this really fits with the NS storyline at all. Have you read the World section at natural-selection.org? Although they don't mention where the aliens came from, I'd ask the dev team first, cuz they might not want someone just arbitrarily making up plot points for them.
If you don't really care about staying with the plot of NS, then that's another thing entirely.
Second, when you get the full NS build, there will be models for all of the alien characters. You can reference these in your map, perhaps having them run an idle animation, and giving them additive properties to make them look like holograms.
Perhaps you can change the storyline that the voice tells how they start their experiments on dead bobs, how they get to an living bob, how he evolves and then the record is broken (because bob evolved even more and killed them).

first off i think i said it wrong, it occured to me the full buiild might be out before i need them, so i ment maybe. Also i read somewhere (i think in a water map forum) that they need an explanation of how the aliens got there, so i came up with one. Of course i prolyl should read the whole wrold section, i kinda scimmed teh first few sections, so ill look into that
ramses: i could use your idea on bring it to life, that would fit nicely now that i think of it.

im quite aware that you cant have a movie, and texture animations, but i had somethign else in mind,
ever seen an animated sprite? im not sure the color setitngs need to be, 256 im sure, but i think i could get it to work, by using lots of frames in a sprite i think it could work.
Oh and as for the animated textures, i eliminated that idea when it first popped in my mind, cuz i have trouble with the 4.0 meg max on maps so i try to have substitutse for textures when i can.
with a func_sprite or whatever Valve did for gina in the training course, you can have it show a bob with teh running annimation, then have 3 miniature (i'm pretty sure you can specify the size of the sprite) marines go through their shooting animations, and then death animations.
Could be wrong, though. I simply haven't gotten it to work, myself.
