What's the big deal with the nda?

<div class="IPBDescription">Now that we are feature complete?</div>I realize that all the playtesters signed Non Disclosure Agreements when they started testing. But what is so secret now? All the features are done! Carved in stone, yadda yadda yadda. Unless the PT's were blabbing about damage numbers and such things....

So, I guess my question is: What is still Subject To Change, and what is Carved In Stone?

    Now, if you guys knew everything about the mod, what would be left to surprise you on the release date? Feature complete doesn't mean that changes can't happen anymore. Flayra could be deleting this mod from his hard-drive at this very moment in a fit of rage, now where would that leave us?

    It would leave you guys emailing the mod to us. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> The PT's would still have it. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    I suppose, eh. ARE there surprises, or is it just that things still may change on a whim?

    Who wants to join the "Society that will Form an Angry Mob if Flayra deletes NS's Code from His HD!" Said mob will of coarse make it's first stop Flayra's house, and it's a <b>violent</b> and angry mob.

    My advice to everyone who wants more information about Ns is this:  grab a coke, sit back, and await The Great Release.  There's nothing else you can really do (other than participate in the "Society that will Form an Angry Mob if Flayra deletes NS's Code from His HD!"'s lynching of Flayra).  Regardless of Ns being feature complete, I'm sure that everything is still STC (shudder).

    I predict that the STWFAAMIFDNSCFHHD will become a force to reckoned with, if properly angered. We should make every effort to make sure that doesn't happen.

    Society that will Form an Angry Mob <b>if Flayra deletes NS's Code from His HD!</b>

    That's if he deletes it in a fit of rage. Other wise i'm fine. In fact anyone who tries to carry out the mobbing if that doesn't happen will be in much pain.

    /me is now fearing this topic is fast heading to the great <i>Lock!</i> in the sky.

    well, if you take just the important words..."<b>Society</b>that will <b>Form</b> an angry <b>Mob</b> if <b>Flayra</b> deletes <b>NS</b>'s code from his <b>HD</b>!"So that leaves us with...SFMFNSHD.
    See, much shorter <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    This topic got off-topic quickly.  Let me just close the discussion with this:  The NDA was never solely in effect to keep playtesters from talking about things that might change the next weekend (though that was a main part of it).  There are certain things that we, for one reason or another, just don't want you to know about.  You don't want to find out the surprise ending to a movie before you see it, do you?

    Don't worry.  Soon enough, you'll all know just as much as we do about the game.
