<div class="IPBDescription">roll-up play-testers</div> Because theres ben many in-house 2.0 beta version & im too lazy to check it all out, can some of u answer these Q's for me plz:

1) any chance of us having a 1.04 -> 2.0 patch, as well as a full install? my 56k modem wont be happy if i have to d/l another 100Mb+ mod

2) can aliens really evolve to ANY species at 1 hive? (cos, frankly even a 1 hive onos would cause mayhem, and aliens seem to have an easy job of collecting res)

3) can aliens move and still be invisible if they have the cloak upgrade? not sure if this is hear-say, but if so they'd be pretty invincible by their own hives...

4) Is the fade losing his blink ability as well? i know gorge gets bile bomb and fade gets an RPG-style 'prayer' ability where he gains energy and health

5) will there really be no more babblers!? seeing 'teh cute fatteh' spawn mini-skulks is uber-fun.

6) will we get '/stuck' being put into the mod by the developers as well as location flags (i.e. say_tem I'm at %l need backup!)

7) The marines can electrify RTs as well as TFs, right?

8) Is the infinite JP bug fixed? similarly, will players (like myself) on crappy PCs be able to have the same JP ability as top-end PC users?#

9) If OTs now cost 10 res, surely SGs have been reduced in cost too?

10) Can gorgs still suck res out at empty nodes? i heard they stopped this at a certain 2.0 build. Shame.

11) will i be able to deactivate auto-names appearing above marines on command view? with my p450 voodoo2 combo at 412x380 res, i need as much FPS boosting help i can get, not FPS lowering!!!

12) Are the lerk spikes being turned into proper projectiles, instead of just going to where the lerk points them instantaneously (not too good with that whole 'hitscan' lingo)

13) Are the OTs firing spikes now ala lerk? Will they also have continuous fire?

14) Do the DCs just provide extra carapace (instead of regen). will the kharaa rely on RTs to heal them? (dont like the sound of that)

15) Will Beckham see out his 4 year contract at Real Madrid? i think not...

16) can kharaa still use MCs to transport across hives?

17) is it easier to fly with the lerks? i heard somewhere they wre thinkin about changing this.


...wow 17 questioons, and 16 of them serious. appreciate any help given (and any 'check it out yerself' responses wil result in me comin round yer house and beating u to death with my huge cajones.)

    1. Probably not. Sorry.

    2. Yes, they really can.

    3. Not with the cloak upgrade, but you can move when near a sensory chamber at be cloaked.

    4. The Fade keeps blink.

    5. No more babblers.

    6. %l is borked right now, its in there, but it doesnt seem to work right, /stuck is not in 2.0, its a server mod.

    7. Correct

    8. Should work that way, yes.

    9. OC's are 5. Shotguns are not below 10.

    10. Sucking has been taken out.

    11. I'm not sure. However, I dont think it is.

    12. The spike model has been taken out to prevent confusing, spike is hitscan.

    13. Yes, they spike instead of spit, and the fire rate isnt as fast as a lerk.

    14. DC can heal only, and RT's do not act as DC's. All buildings slowly regenerate their health however.

    15. Not a chance

    16. MC do provide hive transport.

    17. Lerk movement might be a little cleaner, I'm not sure if the movement has been changed much if at all.

    4.Blink stays never knew that so only bile is gone then and replaced with metbolize thing.

    5.Babblers gone gorge gets bile now i think

    6.Thier fixing the whole stuck thing so im told so thier wont be anyneed for the /stuck plugin

    7.Yep zappy zappy

    8.Also fixed as with everything else that needs FPS, building, leap, JP etc

    9.SGs in current build are 5 res very cheap

    10.Nope thats gone couldnt be balanced

    11.Not a clue

    12.Still hitscan i think....

    13.OCs now fire spikes and very fast no running past OCs anymore without getting hurt.

    14.Not to sure on this from last builds i heard they didnt heal aswell

    15.Like hell

    17.Flaya has altered the whole lerk meant to be better not sure tho no bite :/

    1) no, it would still be about 111MBs, since all the new stuff

    2)yes any alien any amount of hives

    3)you can still move and be invisible while moving, only when inside the cloaking range of the sensory chamber itself; move outside that range and lose your cloaking while moving. so put multiple sensory chambers spaced apart, you could move from one side of the map to another totally cloaked. Its a personal favorite of mine.

    4)no the blink ability is still there, just changed to a more "stuck" friendly (and more "Fade" like IMO) version

    5)nope no more babblers.

    6)/stuck is still a server mod at thgis point (tho we have tried to get it put in) and now maps have location (some maps) have location built in whenever you type in something to your own team.

    7)yes both TFs and RTs can be electrified, only catch is you must have a TF (electrified or not) before you can electrify an RT.

    8)yes, JP now have a different "thrust" capability, so constant flight is pretty much out of the picture.

    9)i havent played the newest version, but i beleive SGs are 5 res (cheap cheap)

    10) Its gone and it couldnt be balanced, which is sad since suckling was a favorite past time of mine.

    11)no idea...tho maybe its time to upgrade?

    12)nope they are still "hitscan" and go where they need to.

    13)yes they do fire spikes (same as above they are 'hitscan") and they fire pretty fast now, tho not continuous.

    14)you got me on that one.

    15)no way

    16)yes they can as they also make OTs fire faster and hives build faster and aliens spawn faster.

    17)in theory the new lerk is "asier" to fly, tho if you liked old lerk flight 9which i was a big fan of it was easy to me) it will take a lot of time to get used to.

    well some of these are subject to change. hopefully when i get to play the new build later tonight I'll give a better picture. Hopefully i was helpful.
