Trailer!
If you haven't already heard, Sam and Max 2: Freelance Police is coming out some time. The official site just went live. If you don't know what Sam and Max is (you sad, sad individual) it's an old Lucasarts adventure game. That should be enough to get your attention - Lucasarts adventure games are fantastic.
Anyway, check out the trailer off the website. There isn't much else on, unfortunately. The graphics look great

I guess by "just went live" you mean "went live 2 months ago" :P Its okay though, Sam & Max pwn :D
I absolutely adore Sam n Max, but after seeing what 3D has done to some of my best loved adventure games (Monkey Island 4, Simon The Sorceror, et cetera) i fear the upcoming releases of Sam n Max 2 and Full Throttle 2.
I really wish they'd stop all this style over content nonsense. Actually, what am i saying, i'm a designer, my whole job is style over content. Oh well.
*shrug* quote from a certain news site. I think mebe it means officially open, as opposed to just on the net?

That's what I thought, but looking at the trailer they've done a fantastic job. It looks almost like the first game is the 2d version of this one. They've got the original concept guy working on it, so it's not like... the C&C series.
It does look cool yeah. But adventure games are starting to be released on consoles, so because of that they're making the games shorter, more arcadey and not as deep.
I hate the control system too, bring back point and click!
Oh, come now, if you haven't played Sam + Max or at least one of the Monkey Island games, you should be browsing Ebay now.
*Sam & Max Hit The Road (duh)
*The Secret of Monkey Island (the first one, not the new cell-shaded one)
"You fight like a dairy farmer!" "How appropriate. You fight like a cow!"
*Day of the Tentacle
*Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (not as hilariously funny as the others, but still very good. It has its moments )
