    what's so special about 1.10 ? i know that 1.10 for WC3 has made the Nightelfs even stronger ( trees hit, even when rooted <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> ) but i don't get what so special about the d2 patch...

    Put it this way: The current state of BNET is a complete shamble. The 1.09 release really has nothing in the way of hack-prevention. There are so many blatant hackers out there (item hackers and many otherwise), that playing as a legit player is nearly completely out of the question.

    Think of the new Diablo patch as the next coming of Jesus.

    It'll restore the game balance to the legitimate players, rework the entire game to make it more difficult, breathe new life into an otherwise-overplayed game. Basically everything I've ever dreamed Diablo could be. Oh yeah-and Blizzard has been having us wait for nearly <i>two years</i> for ANY sort of patch whatsoever. If you play Diablo, or ever have, this will be the thing that gets you back into it. For good. It will even do your laundry.

    That's right. You heard it here first.

    I gave up on Diablo 2 about 10 months ago, let alone teh patch. It was only interesting for maybe the first 3 months I had it, and even then I never got a character higher than level 84.

    Heh, D2 was fun for a little while, but my highest B.Net character was only 59, I got bored pretty fast.

    First time through the Single Player was excellent though.
