Private First Class Hector Valdez recording, test, test. It's been just a few hours. The nanites in my body still haven't fixed everything that wrongs with me. I'm not sure they ever will, so I'm recording this.
Hudson: Commander, are you sure?
Commander Genisis: Hudson, you have to trust my judgement. Work as a team and I'll get us through this.
Then and there Hudson shook his head, I could see the doubt in his eyes.
Hudson: Sorry sir.
Right then the only female marine in our little group phased in through
Hartman: (Shutters) Whew, I don't know if I'll ever get used to that. Your body just feels so... ugh.
Genisis: Hartman what are you doing back?
Hartman: Oh yes. Sorry sir, one of those flyers is annoying pumping station's turrets wondering how the research is going on jetpacks.
Genisis: You have a pistol don't you? They may not be human but they most certainly have eyes, go work on your marksmanship.
Hartman: Right away sir. (Phases away)
Hudson: Woo Valdez, looking at her kind of weird aren't we?
Valdez: Oh shut up, let's head out.
Genisis: That's it Valdez no fear, no loss. Trust yourself.
That's when I hear it, the tiny clicks on the metal floor.
Valdez: Oh ho ho, time to introduce you boys into my TSA issued light machine gun.
Me and Hudson quickly ran out side and looks straight up, firing half a clip each into a green blooded Kharaa.
Hudson: woo! let's go get some more
Genisis gave us a command to head into stability monitoring.
Genisis: Here's a little theme music for you boys.
Right then we hear Metallica start playing in our helmets Hero of the Day if I'm not mistaken. I reloaded my gun and climbed the stairs Hudson following close partialy covering our six.
Valdez: Uh sir, I haven't ever been down here on the ship before. You say this bacterium stuff has set a perfect location for one of their hives up ahead?
Genisis: Yes Valdez, oh and past that tunnel ahead there are a lot of pipes and vents so watch yourselves. I'm not seeing any motion near you though.
Hartman on radio: Yes flyer down!
Maybe I should of keept in focus, it was probably my thoughts of Hartman that got me. I heard the clicks of their feet faintly. Saw Hudson get infront of me, but that's it.
Valdez: HUDSON!
My gun fired I don't remember any blood, aside from Hudson's red blood. I dunno what happened next really Hudson's machine gun fired straight into my chest, protected by my nano-armor. I hear Hartman on the radio, a swooping sound followed by her screams and a loud bite. I heard the mines go off in base at a distance the command chair's resistance to heat still not protecting Genisis. I hear the little Kharaa hit the floor about twenty feet down, Hudson got one before he passed on. I saw a emergency medical pack appear out of thin air and swoop through my body. I've been crumpled up next to this computer console for god knows how long. I dunno if this is sweat or my tears. I'm so confused, so lost. They knew where we all were. Like they sensed all of our seperate fears. They're too smart, we under-estimated that. I've got only a clip of my pistol left for ammo, and I'm not sure who to use it on. Maybe that builder alien I hear coming, or maybe give the nanites something a bit harder to fix.

I like the style that you use
do you plan to do more
Great story. Like how you structured it. Something new...
And you also get 20 extra points for the Metallica part.
oy, I didn't notice you were new
