its going to give a lot of cheaters 1 big reason to start aim botting a load more in games.

On another note, do you still get a random amount of res for each kill?
well, really the main point i`am trying to confer is, aim bots are a bit over the NS with that ns only cheat and everything but then their will be a really big reason for thoise people to always want to kill and slaughter as much as possibe for their own gain.
i suggest remove res for kills and put in res for destroying buildings.
As for cheating, just find a regular server with people you trust.
and script kiddie cheaters are so stupid they will still want to sim bot for res cos it`ll make them look LEET cos they kill more.

The one's who want to look totaly pwning with their "elite" hax already cheat, the ones that <b>don't</b> cheat now are unlikely to start just to get more res. The ones who cheat to look better already do, and most likely won't stop until they get banned from everywhere (like my mate who has apparantly got a VAC ban or something, can only get on to temp servers, and those not connected to VAC).
If we take away res for kills for skulks and vanilla marines, couldn't we take away the 90 second res node activation time and fix the early game res problem?

This has got to be the most hopeless reason to remove resource for kills to date. People make up all kinds of bizarre stuff to remove something that hurts their unrealistic and imaginary model of teamplay:
"Remove resource for kills, because it promotes individualism in marines..."
"Remove resource for kills, because skulks are supposed to be suicide units..."
"Remove resource for kills, because it's unrealistic marines get them when they are not even near aliens and aliens get them without eating marines..."
"Remove resource for kills, because IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE..." (this was a good one <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

Only arguments left for "resource for kills"-haters must be:

Honestly, if you want realistic reasons why cheaters would want to cheat in NS (and not something you just use as a fake argument to remove a feature in the mod you don't happen to like) think why they want to cheat in other mods. Boost their ego? They are too newbie to hit anything so they have to cheat to get some fun out of the mod? If you want to remove resource for kills, because it promotes cheating, you should also remove LMG, pistol, HMG, GL, bite, gore, walking, jumping etc. I mean, if theres no game, there can be no cheaters! Agreed. Especially with all the **** up ns admins.
However, I think players should only be blacklisted for racism, excessive griefing and cheating.

Can anyone explain the logic behind awarding a random amount? I can't seem to figure out how this is fair or balanced.

there is not much difference between 1 and 3, and if you kill lots of enemies then it comes down to ~2 per kill. Easy, isn't it?

Why not just set the rate at 2/kill then?
