    Well, it looks like VIS.exe crashes without an error message. At least it doesn't say if it has finished or aborted due to an error. What might cause it... we'll never know.

    WARNING - *Non-expert mapping advice*

    It says there are 10 direct lights but I'm wondering if you placed any light entities or used texture lighting?

    If I remember correctly, if there are no lights, the map will compile but it will be "full bright". I don't know if that gives this error message but....

    lol, are you blind? it says only direct lights, because there is no vis info, but vis is run before rad, as you can see from the log. the map still runs fine, because a map does neither nid vis info nor does it night lighting info to *run*. but no vis means, the whole map is visible at any time and only direct lights means that the light wont bounce of the walls again to get around corners. so what you have now is a usual quick & dirty compile for testing. if you want to release the map some day you really need to get vis running again!!!
    check disk for errors, download new version of vis, download old version of vis...

    Nerd is right, unlike everyone else who replied before.

    You're using an old version of the compile tools, get the latest versions from webbed thread at the top of this forum, and try it again. If that doesn't work then it's most likely some very unusual error in your map that's messing up Vis. If with the new tools Vis still doesn't work run csg and bsp normally, then run Hlvis.exe with the parameters "-verbose -dev 6" and post the compile log here, that should at least tell us when it's crashing, if not what the problem is.
