I have NS in the HL folder and put the path into NS but it still doesnt work does any1 know what i cna do?

    As I understand it, this is a common problem resulting from using the desktop icon rather than the one in the start menu. If neither works, just open HL (or CS, whichever you own) without any mod loaded at first, then use the "custom game" menu to load NS.

    This is a common problem, and is due to a last-minute bug sneaking into the installer. The desktop icon that the installer creates doesn't have the working directory set properly.     1.04 is a server side patch...
    you don't need it, just install 1.0
