<div class="IPBDescription">another story with a twist</div> after my wee break of story writing i came up with another story. The idea behind this story is that a cargo ship was transporting valuble goods, including Kharaa spiecmen, but somethign happened onboard and a man escaped on a dropship , he was recoverd and was interrigated on what happened up there. It may not be long but hey! a story is a story
<b>Part 1</b>
" Hey Sandra has the report came through ?" A tall man with sort tidy hair, he wore a clean shirt with matching trousers.
" Yes it has sir, also Mr.Savus is waiting for you in the interrigation room." Replied his secritery. He picked up the folder and walked down the hallway taking a left and entering a room with white walls and floor, 2 chairs facing each other with a table in the middle of the room a man with very short hair, bags under his eyes and a distictive problem with his foot, he was trembling slighty he didn't look up as the man sat down at the table and opened his folder, before placing it down and clearing his throat.
" Hello Mr.Savus, i'm Adan James, you may call me Adan, all i want you to do is tell me what happened on the cargo ship, from the point you to took off and the accident and how you escaped." Savus looked up and started mumbling.
" I'm sorry i couldn't hear, would you please start again and speak a bit louder." Adan interrupted.
" We left at 9 from Galio, the Kharaa cages were checked several times to make sure they couldn't escape, they were placed in the far corner, next to some crates and boxes. We left on time, nothing happened for 2 hours until we got a report of a 4 legged creature roamingthe ship, a worker was walking down the hall way and spotted a 4 legged creature walking past at the top of hall way, we raised the alarm and searched the ship, we couldn't find anything so we checked the cages and one of them was open, it must have managed to break apart the bars, we couldn't find anything at all then is must have eaten at the power core, the lights went out and the ship stopped moving, we lost communications aswell and the cameras went offline. We setted up turrets everywhere hoping to protect the workers, but one of them managed to get in and...and it killed them, we heard the screaming and rushed in, the thing looked at us and launched at Johnas, they tried to kill it but it managed to get him.." Suvas stopped, tears swelling up in his eyes.
" Why didn't you try and shoot it if they were shooting it ?" Adan asked.
" Because i was scared ok ?" Suvas wimpered.
" Please try and carry on." Adan said softly. Suvas nodded and wiped his tears.
" They killed one of it attracted two others which came out of vents behind us, in fury over Johnas death i fired my gun at the buggers, stopping them dead, we only had three left running around. After hours of waiting we could hear turrets firing, we all quickly ran to the turrets but was ambushed by a skulk it bit at Chomers knocking him down, blood pouring out, Rittis blasted it apart with his gun, Chomers a few hours later died of blood loss. We went to the turrets which stopped firing and saw two dead Kharaa lyind dead by the turrets, we went to the canteen to rejoice knowing that the Kharaa were all dead and to put the power back on. Me, Brien, Caper and randj were to guard the canteen the other two Jennings and Bowls were to switch the power back on. It was all going ok until it striked."
" Who striked ?" Adan asked softly. Suvas mumbled something.
" Who striked ?" Adan asked a little bit louder.
" Dorrarel." Suvas replied.

" Who is Dorrarel ?" Adan asked.
" I don't know, it must gave been a big Kharaa creature, this is what happened, we heard over the radio a exsplosion and Jennings and Bowls firing then we heard screaming then all was silent, we all stood frozen there not saying anything, Randj made a silent prayer about Dorrarel and him forgiving his sins." Sarvus was interrupted by Adan.
" What religion was Randj ?" Adan asked.
" New tech Muslim, anyway he said that Dorrarel was here to kill them for their sins, we ignored his sayings and decided what to do, we at first were going to stay in the canteen and wait for a rescue party, but we decided that by the time someone was here Dorrarel might have gotten us, so we took are chances and headed towards the power room. We reached the power level and it was really misty as a steam pipe must have been broken, we kept an eye out for Jennings and Bowls but only found two helmets in a pool of blood and the wall by them almost broken down by a large exsplosion, we found the power kit nearby but we all froze as we heard a loud clanking noise coming up behind us, then a large scrape noise and the power went out leaving us in darkness, Caper started shouting and fired his gun then he stopped firing and everything was silent we could hear a heavy breathing noise by and turned on our night visions, we saw Caper lying dead two large cuts around his neck and a man who was called Paul, crouching nearby Caper's body, Paul had his hands over his ears his eyes tight shut, we calmed him down and started heading towards the power room, we asked him what he saw , though he didn't see anything as the power went off all he heard was firing and a slashing noise, too our luck Paul was a technican and could help us with the power, we finally arrived at the power room but we heard again clanking noises, me and Randj stood guard while Brien and Paul went in side to turn the power on, the clanking stopped then we heard a scream inside the room, the door was very strong and we had to kick it hard before it came loose, Brien was dead, his back ripped open, paul hiding in fear in the corner of the room, me and Randj searched the room looking for Dorrarel but we couldn't find anything." Savus stopped speaking as Adan assked him a question.
" So how did Dorrarel get in, surely there must have been a hole or vent in the room ?"
" Only a meter long vent in the cieling." Savus replied.
" I think we deserve a little break, i also must make a few phone calls, i will meet you here in ten minutes, here is some money for a can of drink." Adan handed Savus some coins and left the room, Savus got up and limped out slowly of the room and walked towards a soda machine, Adan walked back into his office, Sandra looked up from her work and asked him if there was anything she could do. Adan nodded and replied.
" I want you go to get a report of the cargo ship, pictures of the bodys, cages the aliens got out of, also ask a new tech Muslim what Dorrarel is ok ? i think Argy might be a new tech muslim and pictures of escape pods that are still onboard the ship." Sandra nodded and started dialing on her phone, Adan walked into his office and sat down thinking about everything Savus has said, a creature going round killing the troops one by one when none of them looking but on both attacks Paul was there, hmmm, it was too early to make comments, so maybe it was a new Kharaa creature that wiped out a whole squad of marines. He shrugged and headed back to the interrigation room.

Savus was sitting in his chair a can of soda in his hand drinking it slowly, Adan sat down and waited for Savus to finish drinking. He finished his can, cleared his throat and started talking.
" We couldn't find any traces of Dorrarel, Paul started working on the console, the machine started up and the lights turned on very dim, then all of a sudden a exsplosion went off and electricty started shooting out everywhere, the wall cracked down and everything went dark, then Randj was shouting Dorrarel and started firing his weapon, i tryed putting my night vision on but it was drained of energy from the electricity surge, it charged up and Randj was gone, Paul was hiding behind a computer, so i grabbed him and we started running for a escape pod, we then heard a clanking noise behind us, so we ran faster then i asked Paul why hasn't Dorrarel got us yet then he replied.
" Once you see Dorrarel you never see him again"
we came onto the escape pod level and a Skulk leaped out from no where , slicing my leg, Paul had a long knife in his hand and stabbed the Skulk, i got up thanked him and carryed on running, i jumped into the escape pod and pressed the launch button, i turned round and didn't see Paul, then the esape pods were hitted by a strong object, the outer doors closed and i was launched out." Savus ended. Adan stared at him then said.
" Do you know who Dorrarel was ?" Adan asked.
" What do you mean who ? it was a monster." Savus replied.
" No, you never saw a monster you saw Paul, wasn't it strange that when some one died Paul was their wasn't it strange that when the monster attacked Paul lived ?" Adan said.
" But he didn't try and kill me." Savus replied.
" Oh but he did, wasn't it strange that when the Skulk attacked you he had a knife ready ? wasn't it strange someone tryed to hit your escape pod doors." Adan said loudly.
" But Dorrarel was a monster." Savus said tears coming to his eyes.
" NO ! there was no monster, Dorrarel was Paul! Paul was Dorrarel !" Adan said starring at Savus. Savus looked up then asked.
" Why did he try to kill us ?"
" What was on that ship ? money, lots of money he wanted to kill you so he could get the 250 million pounds being transported." Adan replied.
" Did he get off the ship ?" Savus asked fear filling up his voice.
" We don't know, i've asked my secatray to get some reports and evrything." Adan replied, Savus nodded then said.
" I want to go home." Adan nodded and stood up.
" Come back tomorrow any time and we will discuss everything further." Savus smilied and limped out of the room down the hallway to the drinks machine got a drink and sat down on a bench drinking it slowly. Adan walked back into the office. Sandra handed him some paper with reports on them he sat down and read them.
REPORT :
Enclosed you will find pictures of the desceased TSA members, they have all recieved bullet hole wounds into them and died of blood loss or damaged organ failure.
Puzzled by this Adan studied the pictures of the dead TSA marines, bullet hole wounds in them. He carryed on reading.
The fridge tanks holding the Kharaa speices were still intact the creatures were dead since 21/3/54 they will be transported to Earth where they shall be sold to scientest research groups.
But the 250 million pounds in credit form is missing, the crew were either killed by gun fire or exsplosion damage.
Wat the hell was going on ? Adan wondered, he made sure the report was on the right cargo ship, which it was, if the Kharaa were dead ages ago how did Savus kill them ?
No signs of Kharaa attacks have been found. Only one escape pod was used the rest are unused, the power was till on and no sentry turrets were set up.
Then Sandra scribbled on the bottom of the report that Dorrarel wasn't a New tech Muslim word for anything.
Adan read the report then thought of the Savus story, it slowly placed itself togther, OH CRIST ! Adan said aloud in his head, he ran out his office to the front desk, a uniform guard looked up asking him if he could help.
" Where is Mr.Savus !?" Adan asked loudly.
" Who ?" Replied the guard at the front desk.
" THE CRIPPLED ! WHERE IS THE CRIPPLED !?" Adan shouted.
" He left the building a minute ago." Replied the guard pointing to the exit.
" DAMIT !" Shouted Adan as he ran for the exit and opened it looking up and down the street for Savus, he saw a crippled man limping along signalling for a taxi, a taxi pulled up and he got in, the taxi drove off down the road and round the corner. Adan watched the taxi drive off then he thought what Savus said, once you seen Dorrarel, you never see him again.

Hope you enjoy it, i know it's not a bang bang shoot everything blood and gut story but i thougt some people would like a smart story different from the repetative killing the Kharaa all the time. Yeah, I haven't read the story yet (I R TEH BUM). I'll get around to reading it, though... bleh
So the company wasn't a government agency eh? The government openly experiments on the green buggers. These guys must've been part of a private organization that want to sell them as a weapon or something. Anyway since I rely so much on the game for facts, which it gives soo little of, I would say that the Kharaa should've died without being near their hive. Oh and I've read the background story, not really helping heh.
I'll give a cookie to the first one who understands this story and explains it.
