mmk most people who have played for any length of time know what a WoL is.. a Wall of LAme. typcically built by gorges to block tunnels and routes / res nodes etc...
they seem to be a highly accepted strategy - if the aliens got that much res, then why shouldn't they? i've never been kicked / flamed for walls of lame as a gorge.
CoL's ? Chairs of Lame!
what the hell is the problem with these?!?!?!
building walls with chairs is hard... it takes a relative amount of skill - same was building a Good WoL does. so why do people get so mad about them? sure they have a crap lot of health, but they don't heal themselves like Walls of DC's do. they don't shoot you like OC's do... similarly with the aliens, if the comm has enough res to spam multiple 33 res chairs, why the hell shouldn't he / she be allowed?! i was kicked off a server for doing this on siege006. the big ramp room before the door, i built a 2 story wall of chairs.. when done properly, onos can't get through. they need a BOOST <-- IE *drum roll + dramatic effects* team work!
... i was kicked for being a lame commander apparently. yer when we had pushed forward earlier, we couldn't get to alien res, because it was blocked with a wall of DC's, and then a wall of OC's infront of it. the gorge was congratulated on his strategic positioning!!!!
i think if one strat is accepted, so should the other. it's both or neither. i don't see why you should be allowed to pick and choose myself.

Otherwise I love the concept of Com Chair walls, gives the rines a sort of barricade ala Aliens. AS a strategy I commend any comm that uses it effectivly. It's effective when it frustates those people who are playing against it as alien. The reason people don't like it is because it actually works sometimes!
But in all seriousness, OC's and DC's are designed for blocking off areas from marines, Comm chairs are not designed for blocking off areas from aliens. I think marine structures are no longer stackable in 2.0 anyway, but don't quote me on that <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Edit: rofl, I just read Infedted Marine's thread, carbon copy, hehehe
The issue of welders has been mentioned already. CC walls are pretty much only used when the marines are about to lose, and needlessly prolong a game that ought to be in the bag.
