Shodan and a conspiracy
I noticed that Shodan appears in NS on the map ns_nothing. It's in marine start. Just look at the computer screens near the comm chair. I also posted a topic before about a new race composed of machines. The appearance of Shodan, while seemingly insignificant, stands out sign that maybe there will be a third race of machines in the distant future. For those who haven't played System Shock 2, Shodan is basically an evil computer AI that takes over a ship. I also remember in System Shock 2.0, a foreign life form invades the same ship and grows like the Kharaa. Coincidence or conspiracy?

I've a while to go before I become a mapper groupie!
I noticed the picture and the similarities but that is where it ended for me, hehehehe.
[Cult]Creep.
Urgh... brain... imploding.
Which came first, the chicken or the egg.

egg, by a millenium or two, then, there was a psuedo chicken at some point...
and they later grew into the chickens we know of now...
or, if you prefer creationism, both, at the same time.

where did you get your facts.. the bus terminal?
The chicken came first, he was sent from a distant planet of Chicken people to set up a base, but found he loved it here and stayed to live here.
Like Major Tom, hijacking the space craft!
The egg came first. Note the life cycle of a chicken.
1. Egg
2. Chick
3. Chicken
To answer the coming question 'where did the egg come from?' : The chicken evolved from another bird. That bird, which i'll call "Bird X", first laid an egg that became the first chicken.
There. The age-old question is answered. Let the laughing/flaming begin.
HEY! I've had a dozen people look at this, and yet, no posts! Get with the program people!
OMG that is 4 cpus running at 100%.
Wow, I never thought I would see the day.
It's so damn hard to get the utilization up like that, with the multi processors unless they are getting stuck on spinning locks.
And 2 gig of physical memory,.... and that was a year ago right?
I never have really looked into standard person multi processor setups but would I be correct in assuming that you have 4 data buses with uniform (time delay) access to that memory? If so that gotta have a killer of a memory controller.
Wow. I am offically impressed with someone elses machine.
how does "bird x" evolve the ability to lay eggs before it dies?
no eggs = no more birdies. but wait.. doesn't the theory dictate that they must be incapable before they "evolve" a capability to do certain things? i.e, fly, breathe under water, or.. lay eggs.
if the "evolving" occurs during the birthing process, then where did the birthing process evolve from?

You forgot the most essential, #4.
4. Fried chicken.
I'd be officially impressed with that map NS_nothing's lighting pwnt that computer hard dude. 100% cpu ownage, and this was the old ns nothing not the new one by kfs too ^_^.
that should be number 4, I like my chicken DEAD before its fried... - Tink
ALSO: if your own SS2, and want to give it another go, make sure you try this mod for it:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/etienne.aubert/ssh...ock_rebirth.htm
The Rebirth mod updates all the 3d models in the game, or at least the monster models.
I havent used it in a while so no doubt it has updates I may not know about. Check out this screenie from the site:
"I musssssssttt protecccckt thee little onesszzzz. Baybeeesss need fresshh meeettt." ~ Midwives from SS2 rocked.

If this new Midwife isnt badass , I dont know what is.
Also, im not sure, but SS2 MIGHT be ok to distribute. Ive seen it on abandonware sites, however its a commen find in bargin bins and you can probably get it for like $10.
Im going to say this one last time, YOU MUST TRY THIS GAME.
However yes it is easy to pick up in compilation packs - still not found a copy on its own though
