Didn't know who/where else to ask.
Gday guys, just having an issue with uploading a custom avatar. It's a .gif file, around 14kb and is 64x64, but when I go to upload it I get an error stating that the file type is not permitted. I've tried PMing a few forum admins but haven't received a reply. I couldn't find any other relevant forums to post in, so if this post needs to be moved be my guest.
Cheers for any assistance.

I am looking at your avatar as I am typing this!
I don't think you have a problem any more
2. you CAN upload a custom avatar
Having said that,
An answer from a forum admin may take a while, 1 hour- 2 days, they aren't here 24/7 you know...
Give us the exact error message, make a screenie or something.
I guess Firestorm or Soulscorpian will have an answer to this one...
/me looks at them with puppydog eyes

Look at the path for his current avatar. It is one of the Pre-installed avatars, which you can choose.
Go to "My Controls" --> "Edit Avatar Settings" --> and then scroll down the list and click "Ares"

Yeah, I messaged two that were online at the time, one of which got back to me the next day =)
In any case, my problem is solved. You can't upload a custom avatar directly to the NS forums servers, you need to find your own host for it (thanks for that Comprox)
Cheers for the help guys.
