<div class="IPBDescription">dropped weapons stay ??</div> i saw this "Marines drop their weapons when they die again"

when i read in another old changelog that they didn`t drop it then he compensated by making most of the guns a bit cheaper, but now its been put back in. how are the prices of those guns now huh ? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    well, seeing that aliens have an advantage right now, i dont see why they have to raise the prices.

    It's in beta and the Marines are having problems right now, so by all means let them experiment with ways to bring back the balance.

    its just i was reading a bit and seeing hmg is pretty much a good hand out that gives at least a 50/50 chance if u go for it early.

    HMG rush doesnt really work anymore, 2min upgrade, aliens can get a 2nd hive by then, also you leave the base open to an attack. Shotty rush, is pretty much the only reliable tactic that will work if the aliens dont see it coming.

    but with the weapon drop, it means that marines can do the GL holdout again...... ugh thats really annoying....
    I preferred the marines not dropping their weapons..... but it could always go back again, so I can just hope for it ^_^

    The current builds cost of marine heavy weapons isn't all that different from 1.04.
    In addition, the GL holdout is one issue that's being addressed. Let's just see how the different build plays out before we jump to conclusions.

    I could have sworn HMG was 25 and GL was 30. STD's server is packed right now, so I can't confirm. But most of the time, if I'm marine, I'll command. Most costs are pretty set in my head right now.

    Marines actually have it pretty good right now... at least, with teams that work together. I'd be for kicking the weapon-drop-on-death back out, just so there's SOME chance of taking out a group of Marines, with only one carrying a shotty.. without getting a Fade in the mix. Only hope is to take out the primary Shotty wielder, then get the next guy who picks it up to waste his limited ammo and pray the Comm doesn't just drop in more.

    So 2.0, are weapons dropped by teammates gone or can they be picked up? Personally, I love grabbing the weapons dropped by a dead teammate(lmg, pistol, shottie, whatever). It's just really fun.     I'd guess it's not a final decision (just like hive-tied lifeforms (fade at 2 hives, onos at 3) was temporarily put back in to see if it would work out). If it works, it stays, if it breaks the game, it's gone.
